Such an energetic friend he had
People who save animals have a special place in heaven
God bless you 🙏🙏
i had a blind dog and she managed fine. a dog's number one sense is smell anyway!
Dalmatian brown wiener dog. 😂Where can i get one ?
Now you need a hamster for Tank.
Yea.. 2 years to discover the dog is deaf ? I don';t buy it.
Bless you for rescuing Olaf. He is precious. I’m so moved by this story. The vet is also an angel hero. 😇
I AM IN TEARS 😭🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
how can a Great Pyrenees be aggressive?!?!
Rather says something about someone when they'd rather "remove" a living being all because they see them as an inconvenience.
Everyone doesn't have compassion. We generally reap the things we sow into this life.
Taking care of deaf dog is not really that hard he just can't listen his other sense work very well why everyone so cruel to him 😢
How could you spend two years with a dog that you now presumably love, then euthanise him without any further consideration?!!
Olaf and Hank are the reason I don’t give up on the world. They are the sweetest most loveable souls
why do people come up with different names for the act of killing? euthanize?
I also got a deaf dog, from a shelter and I confirm that it's not that big of a deal. Actually I do find some upsides of this disability – no anxiety on new year's night when the fireworks go off, no barking at any slight instance of a sound on the stairway in mt apartment block. The only drawback I see is that I can get him off the leash only in gated dog parks where he can safely zoom and I don't have to worry he'll flee and get hit by a car.
And because of his deafness, his sense of smell got very strong. He can smell that I left the room while asleep and wake up to search for me. Om walks He can smell known dogs and people way before we spot them. Incredible.
Thank you for helping Olaf.
I spent so many years of my life under the spell of cigarettes, depression and severe ptsd. Gained my freedom with the help of nature using mushroom (psilocybin) precisely. After my experience with shrooms five years ago every cigarette I lit up tasted like literal poison. I would take one hit and put out the cigarette. I haven't smoked since, no more depressive mood and ptsd. Few doses of shroom experience made a 15 year 2 pack a day smoker quit instantly.
Shrooms are life changing. There is no way you can put into words what it feels like..
The previous owners definitely knew that they had to say he was aggressive to get that dog euthanized. Such evil
Such an angel. God bless him and you.
Thank you so much for saving him. Godbless you 🙏
Deaf dogs are super chill. No need to worry about thunderstorms, fireworks, sirens, etc. Doesn't matter to them!
I adopted a deaf and blind dog and named him Keller like Hellen Keller. He was the smartest dog. I was never worried because i met a lady that rescued a dozen or so aussie deaf and blinds and reminded me that dogs lead with their nose and they dont read books. It really is like having any other dog except i had to ve careful with stairs and moving furniture
What a lovely team🤩👍❤️🐕🐕
You can stomp on the floor. The dog feels the vibrations. You might like to read "Amazing Gracie." She was deaf and albino and the Great Dane breeder was going to kill her to protect his reputation. The guy who brought her up had to learn to cook because the vet suggested making some homemade food and feeding it to her by hand, because she was refusing all dog food. Then he started a bakery! It's a chain now, "Three Dog Bakery." He probably never would have started it if his friend at work hadn't begged him to rescue the deaf, albino Great Dane puppy and taught him to make cookies, because she said it was the easiest thing to make. He made grated carrot and other oddball cookies. Anyway, he had wooden floors and stomped on the floor to get her attention. Mark Beckloff is the author.
OmG, this is the sweetest video EVER😂🤣❤, thank you for taking darling Olaf+ for sharing this vid❤
I have rescued so many animals to care for throughout their lives. They go deaf, if they are already not, and they go blind as well. Just like people. If you love them, you adapt to their needs, so they are comfortable and secure. They become incontinent as well, just like when they were a puppy. Be kind.
1:11 AWWWW ❤🐶🐕🦺🐩🦮🐕
❤❤❤ thank god he made it into loving hands
I wish there was a formal registry that prevented people from being able to adopt animals
Thank you for saving this dog. Tank, what a funny name for such a tiny dog and yes it is obvious they are bonded as best friends.
❤❤❤
Good god who does that? Some people disgust me and some people amaze me with their selfless actions. Thank you for saving this amazing polar bear 😊😊 and his lottle buddy
I taught my dog hand signals when he was younger, now that he’s old, will be 17 in July, it’s payed off he still can hear but the hand signals are more effective.
That rescue organization which placed the dog in that first family should be shut down ! Do a background thorough check on the potential homes for your dogs and cats. I rescued two dogs and two cats with my wife and the rescue orgs we went to, made us fill up over 200 pages f paperwork and we had to provide so many informations it took us over 3 months to b e accept to be on the list to get a rescue dog. We both had to provide of course income evidence, the rescue people came to check our house 3 times without warnings, we had to provide police record, to show that we had never committed any crime, and i am a foreigner so i had to contact the police in my country as well to provide a record and have it translated officially by a professional translating company and certified. We had to show evidence that we payed all of our taxes, provide evidence of how much we spend every month, evidence of our health check records to show that we are both healthy, and we had 2 interviews, one with a psychologist and one with someone who studies behaviour, who analysed all of our answers and body language to see who we really are. When i asked if this was common practice, they told us. we see our animals as orphaned kids, when family wants to adopt a kid, they go through the very same situations and we make sure the family we select all meet the same criteria. I thought that was amazing. Then we adopted our first cat and the org came to check on the cat every week for the first 3 weeks, then every month for 3 months then once every 6 months for 1 year and then the adoption was complete. We still had to provide veterinary checkups and vaccine evidence every year (and still do) and we adopted 3 more animals after that first cat from the same org, and it just got better and better. If my wife or myself brought the animal to have it euthanized our rescue org would have not just taken away every other pets we have regardless of them coming from them or not, and would have sued us until we end up behind barres.
I see my pets exactly like my kids and i believe the adoption process for animals should the same as the adoption process for kids.
Big ❤️
I have a deaf dog and I've found out that if you clap your hands they will sense the vibration or percussion and respond!
I had a dog who was not totally deaf, but obviously very hard of hearing. Very loud sounds (like my sneezing at the volume of a Saturn V rocket blast-off) would make him jump up and bark but for the most part he couldn't hear diddly.
My rescue French Bulldog was deaf for a time due to untreated ear infections. Now that she's got her forever home with me we've gotten the infection under control she can hear again but even if she never got her hearing back I'd love her just as much and would NEVER put her down. Being deaf or blind does not mean a dog can't have a happy life!
May I ask why people choose to euthanize dogs??
Those original owners should be blocked from ever adopting a dog again.
Tank is perfect friend for him. Both are good boys
What is wrong with having a deaf dog? I have met several. They can't hear but that doesn't mean you can't get their attention. If they are within 100FT of you you can often clap your hands and they will feel the air shock in their chest. Or at least I assume that is how it works. My uncles deaf boxer doesn't respond to any sounds from anyone supposedly but she looks at me when I clap, then I can make a hand gesture and she will come running. It's like knowing a deaf person. They still love life, it's just a minor increase in challenge level for the dog and their owner.
