Rats, often underestimated and misunderstood, are incredibly intelligent, social, and affectionate creatures. Despite their reputation, rats are actually clean animals that groom themselves regularly. They are highly trainable and can learn tricks, respond to their names, and even use a litter box. Rats also possess a curious and playful nature, making them entertaining companions. These small rodents have a strong sense of companionship and thrive in pairs or small groups, enjoying human interaction as well. With their gentle and friendly demeanor, rats make excellent pets for both children and adults alike.

  1. I first fell in love with Rats when my friend gave me one that was rejected snake food. I ended up naming him Ritz and he would jump up to the top of his tank to grab treats and loved being tickled. He would play run away from my hand then run back for more. They’re so intelligent and love attention I would choose a rat over a hamster.

  2. I had a pet rat, Kramer.
And he was a happy little guy.
Had him since he was born, and he used to follow me everywhere.
He'd get up on my lap when i was eating supper and what ever was in the food that i didn't like (onions, green pepper, mostly veggies)
He'd get them, so during supper he knew that when i picked him up and put him in my lap, it was time to get his munch on.

  3. Is this actually a thing. How do you make sure the Rat doesn’t have rabies or a disease. I live in the NYC Area so we are notorious for having huge Rats. If there is a way to have one as a pet I would love to get one. My hockey team is the Rats so I think it be adorable.
