At around 4:40 p.m. on May 4, a manned sightseeing boat capsized in the Baili Gallery Scenic Area in Huawu Village, Xinren Town, Qianxi City, Bijie City, Guizhou Province. So far, the accident has caused 4 boats to capsize and 84 people to fall into the water, of which 10 people have died, 70 are still being treated in hospital, and 4 people are uninjured.
Information released by the Guizhou Meteorological Bureau showed that on May 4, hail occurred in 17 counties in Guizhou; strong winds of magnitude 8 or above occurred at 42 stations, and at 16:33, a gust of wind of magnitude 14 occurred in Huawu Village, Qianxi City, near the waters of the incident, with wind speeds of up to 44.7 meters per second.
