We were taught to never name food. It’s hard on kids when they realize they’re eating Herm.
I used to have one too❤
They did just put him there for a new flock. They have to be integrated and put in the coop at night.
make a CHINKEN CHOKEYYYY😂😂
Nice dog
Looks perfect for a roast dinner😋🤤🍗

That's a goofy looking puppy there.

growing up country and white seems so fun😢😢
Do they poop in the house
❤❤❤❤❤
Let *her be. Its normal. The flock will pick at er for a few days to establish pecking orders. It'll be fine.
yea, you dont a chicken crapping all over everything, it is bad enough having any animal in the house!
I have a house Silkie, she just sits and snuggles me. Did you know that Sillies purr? It is so cute!
HOUSE CHICKEN
I'm guessing ella won't eat chicken nuggets.
So sad that innocent children can just make up a obvious story so fast a puppy from school.
If u leave the chicken with flock they will be mean but it’s a pecking order thing I have had flock chickens that’s what worked do us however nice video 🎉
you can house train chickens with a clicker
My house rooster watched the dogs and housebroke himself. I was amazed.
❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
That is pretty cool but chickens peck at new chickens it's normal sadly I love chickens❤
Hodor!
I unintentionally ended up with a house hen who came inside to heal after an attack. She shared my meal and would start each night perched on the corner of a chest in the bedroom but as soon as I fell asleep, she would move on to my bed and sleep in the small of my back. While on my bed, she got along well with the 4 cats but during the day, she LOVED to chase the cats all over the house. When she was healed I tried to return her to the flock, but she didn’t want to leave the house. She would knock on the door with her beak until I gave up and let her back inside. She was great at hunting mice and the occasional bug. She cleaned up any crumbs off the floor. I kept a roll of paper towels in every room, so her droppings with the paper towels got put in the compost every day. She was determined to earn her keep and stay in the house. But I was still skeptical about her being a life long resident in the house until one night when she convinced me that she was the best indoor pet I owned.
One night I woke up to hear her screeching at the top of her lungs. My first thought was that the cats had had enough and had fought back with her, but that was not the case. I went into the hall and noticed the bathroom light was on , and I know I didn’t leave it on, so I looked in to see the medicine cabinet open a very inebriated woman, falling backwards into my bathtub with the House Hen’s claws, clutching the woman’s hands which she had up protecting her eyes while the House Hen was pecking the daylights out of her forehead. It looked just like a scene out of Alfred Hitchcock’s movie The Birds! My first thought, of course, was “Who is that woman? and how did she get in my house? The following thought was😮”WOW!!! Look at that chicken go! That could be Tippi Hendren falling into my bath tub!”😂 But then I remember that scene of the dead farmer with no eyeballs! So fearing a law suit, I quickly rescued the woman before any permanent damage was done. The police came and took her away for robbery and possession of drugs. (Talk about a bad trip) Now I am sorry to say that I was very surprised that the police actually arrested her. During Covid our idiot mayor had emptied all of the criminals out of the jails and oddly enough, our criminal rate went sky high! I had 25 robberies at my house and the police had never arrested anyone. Even when I held them at gunpoint waiting for the police. I was told that I could either shoot the burglars or let them go, but there would be no more arrests for property crimes! (Blue run city!)
But this story does have a happy ending! The good news, was that when the police took her to jail, she told everybody she met about her adventure robbing the house of a crazy old lady who had a vicious, violent chicken loose inside her house and how that chicken had attacked her and tried to pluck out her eyes just like in a horror movie!!! The police had rescued her from the crazy old lady and her demented chicken! Word spread all over town!!! Beware of the crazy chicken lady!😊
I have not had a home invasion robbery since. Of course my beloved house hen was able to spend the rest of her life living inside the house. She had earned it and every morning she presented me with a beautiful large brown egg next to my pillow!
Being old in today’s world, is not easy!!! But having a bad reputation, as a crazy person really helps!!! The House Hen passed away in few months ago and comes Spring, I will be looking for a new dark gray feathered House Hen chick to replace her. Only my closest friends know that she is gone. But her legend lives on. Even the new gang recruits are all told to never go to my house, that there is an old witch who lives there and she summons feathered demons who will rip your eyes out! 😂 I even help my reputation , by ordering life size plastic skeletons and fake severed body parts during the Halloween clearance sales! The body parts are left in the chicken pen to be seen from the alley fence. Occasionally someone will call the police, but they are all in on it and they add stories about me.The police say that I am doing a public service by seriously scaring the criminals, I make their job easier!
One woman is convinced that my male Red Bourbon pet turkey, who guards the chickens is actually a Condor from South America and that I stole him from the Zoo. Honestly I tried to tell her that he is a turkey and that is what a turkey looks like before it gets wrapped up by Butterball for Thanksgiving, but she doesn’t believe me! 🦃
🐔🐔🐶😘😘😘
Cute ❤❤❤❤❤
That appears to be the result of a Rhode island red rooster mating with a buff Orpington hen. You should have let it stay with the fellow chickens because they need to establish their ranks in the pecking order.

Thats Cool my Mom Has about the same breeds of chickens at her farm ?!?! Here in Sweden even that african pearlbird or whats its named Pearlhen ? Pärlhöna in Swedish . Quails we had when i was little +30years ago ahaah .
I love how sweet her daughter treats the chickens, so precious ❤️❤️🥰🥰
As someone with a house rooster that was bullied terribly by our other chickens I get this so much 😅🙌
When he was younger we had three separate flocks on the 21 acres, now 2, and no matter who he was with he would get attacked and scream terribly and run to me or home. We tried so many times but they were relentless. Poor baby is even scared of the rain 😓
He's just had his 1st birthday in October and is the happiest chicken/rooster around 🥰🐔 He still gets visits with a few of the hens when I can get one that's had a good day and isn't too "attitudey" 😅
He has a big 6x2m enclosure we are building at the moment for him and will give him his own younger pullets then and they can come out to free range once everyone else is put away in the afternoons.
However no matter what hen he sees, his best friend and main hen is our Tibetan Spaniel 😂😅 He lives inside with our 5 dogs, 3 cats and 1 Blue tongue lizard and eats with them, sleeps with them in the day when they rest (he has a big indoor enclosure for night time), he comes and sleeps on the bed with my Babies and I when we have a rest, he's honestly just like one of the dogs 😅🥰
I have 2 house chickens! There both polish (fluffy head)🙂we don’t use diapers we use puppy pads😀but we do have diapers made for chickens we use those for bathing our outdoor chickens!
I really want a chicken no matter what
Been, the quail❤
I have two baby chickens, they're so cute ones, a hen and one is a rooster. I'm so excited to have a house chicken. If you have any tips please leave them in the replies thanks!
The mom is gorgeous and looks like Carrie heffernan
Sleeping With Them 😂😂😂😂
I just love your sweet daughter and her new buddy, Herm! 🥰
My grandson did the same thing to my daughter. He bought home a little chicken from school and my daughter had to figure out what to do. Since she didn't have other chickens, she had to learn everything and found out that chickens don't do well alone. So she got another chicken to be her friend. They built them a nice coop and the two girls are happy as can be. ❤️❤️
Hermie didn't want to be an outdoor chicken he wanted to be a dentist 😊
You add new chickens to a flock in the middle of the night. Just slide him in. Chickens have no object permanence, so when they wake up they dont notice anyone new.
The daughter has a heart of gold wish mom would have indulged her
Its a hen
Love chickens! 🧡🐾
