A man’s unconventional way of cutting a palm tree in Redlands, California, resulted in him swaying wildly from side to side, video posted on Thursday, September 24, shows.
Footage originally posted on Twitter shows an arborist near the top of a severely bending palm tree getting to work with a chainsaw. Once the top of the tree is removed, the trunk rebounds dramatically, taking the arborist on a hair-raising ride.
“It scared me,” the recorder of the video told Storyful, The arborist, however, “was not afraid, because he has been doing that work for a long time.”
Separate video showed the intrepid tree surgeon was able to descend once the trunk stabilized.

People with this mentality are why houses used to be built better ….now everyone's soft. Just like their houses.

I’ll bet you could see the finger holes from the death grip he had in the trunk of that tree.
California palms are flexible when they are long but can break due to the weight

Some says he is still swinging 😂😂
Only Happens in India 😂
But why??? Why??? Ain't worth it at all. Let this 🌴 s be.. or dint ket them grow so big. Stop planting them
I am surprised the tree can hold his balls of steel
Guys before you saw he cut it for no reason, a palm tree might need to be cut down if it is severely diseased, structurally damaged, poses a safety hazard due to its location or condition, is interfering with infrastructure, or if landscaping changes require its removal; in most cases, a professional arborist should assess the tree before deciding to cut it down as proper pruning can often address issues without full removal.
