Welcome to Qatar! This is actually my first time visiting Qatar (apart from flying through the airport), so I was very excited to explore this Gulf country located in the Arabian Peninsula. Fahad planned a big first day where we drove outside of Doha to the farm of Hamad who treated us to big a surprise!
Fahad has an entire farm where he raises champion Arabian horses and racing dogs, and then raises sheep and lambs. He chose a lamb and the main event was a whole lamb marinated in saffron, then cooked underground mandi style.
Secondly Hamad surprised us with an entire private shawarma – Hamad is a huge lover of shawarma and has collected recipes from all over the middle east. He marinated the lamb in oranges and lots of nutmeg and cardamom. The result was meat that was ultra fragrant, buzzing with nutmeg and unbelievably tasty.
But before we ate we went on a full tour of a farm, saw animals, and were treated to the most amazing Arabian horse show I’ve ever seen – these are champion show horses and the best in the world. They were the most spectacular horses I’ve ever seen.
When we finished we headed back to Hamad’s farm where the feast began and he invited some friends over to celebrate with all the amazing food. It was my first day in Qatar and I loved the Qatari food!

للاسف الان فقط تاكدت ان قطر لا تختلف عن باقي خنازير الخليج كلهم نفس المستوى شو استعباد البشر وشوف الشيخ بولطعة كيف ياكل في الشاورما الي اعدها شخص هندي او بنغلاديشي. عار معرعر يا قطر لازم تتيقنو انكم بشر لا يختلف عن بقية البشر في الكرة الارضية. احبكم ياقطر لكن العار لا اتحمل وزرة.

So, they said that the fat from the cut up roasted lamb would flavor the rice as the lamb cooked and the fat dripped into it. Then they proceeded to cover the rice pot with aluminum foil before baking it. At this point, only the cull fat is in with the rice. How does the other fat get in?
Oh mark!!! I am a flipino working in Qatar for 10yrs and counting. i just now watched your videos that at you are here in Qatar. Please stay here a little long time and update us which places in Qatar you'll go so atleast i can watch you eating😅. Go to souq waqif so you can also eat and taste some traditional Qatari food especially sweets.
