Driver Arrested in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash Near E Oates Road [Garland, TX]

Garland, TX (March 17, 2025) – Garland police arrested 30-year-old person of Rowlett, after a tragic crash near E. Oates Road.

According to authorities, the hit-and-run crash in Garland left a 14-year-old girl dead and her 16-year-old brother seriously injured after a pickup struck them while they walked on a sidewalk Saturday night. Authorities say that the crash occurred around 10 p.m. near E. Oates Road and Broadway Boulevard.
