Bondi Rescue follows the work of the elite professional Lifeguards who patrol Australia’s busiest beach. This is Australia’s real life Baywatch! Taking the viewers on their journey through mass rescues, drownings, resuscitations, shark sightings, and all number of the weird and wonderful experiences Bondi Beach dishes up.
In #BondiRescue the audience sees the action through the eyes of real characters and #lifeguards like Hoppo, Deano, Reidy, Jesse, Maxi, Whippet and Harries, as they catch thieves, perform CPR, make drug busts, break up fights, and even handle a navy bomb that washes ashore one afternoon. Bludge of a job in some ways!
Pretty girls, Suns out, water’s warm, surfs ok.
Catch the rip out, put them on your board and surf in. Yes it can get difficult if there's a few to get, or if the surf is gnarly. Go over the top and caterpault coming in. But being out there, having to do a dive underwater looking for someone is easy too.
I've caught those sets of black waves at closed beaches (and had my share of being buried and dragged right under too) Have also done 3 surf rescues at unpatrolled beaches and about 5 resuscitations (mostly in hospitals) when younger.
But at times the waves can bring in really big sets from tornados, and it becomes really gnarly with lots of rips and whitewater. Or the guys caught out there, panic, Then I realize just how skilled you guys are. You are fit and such really strong swimmers. And you can just swim in, thru and under anything, without flippers. Often dragging someone too. Can handle rocks pretty well too. Thats an art.
Even your qualifying or endurance tests are scary. (Bet Ive dived deeper than you (170 ft) but!)
But I know what you guys are REALLY DOING and I have a lot of respect for you.
(And also for all the volunteer lifeguards at so many of our other beaches!)

Terry rescuing that kid always gets me emotional. How can you bring a child that young into the water and not keep an eye on them. Literally dead if Terry didn't spot her. Never underestimate the ocean.
Imagine getting saved by Jethro, its like if surfer Jesus swam out to save you.
Terry I believe your son is your angel that helps you save other children in need. I’m so sorry your son didn’t have that chance for life. Seeing your reaction when sharing your story it’s very emotional for you mate. Sharing it openly also I believe will help others as well.

These Asians who cannot swim in the ocean waters should not be in it !!!!!! They apparently have no clue how dangerous it can be !!!
That water is too rough for weak swimmers, the lifeguards should make them all get out !!!

Nice of the ghouls to hang around and gawk, as if the poor man (Taka) is doing this for their entertainment. When I was a kid we were taught not to watch people in despair unless we were actively helping put things right: rendering first aid or CPR, etc. I find the spectating habit of the public horrendous.
