I know so well the incomensurable love that emerges from all sides when an animal in desperate condition is rescued, saved, cared for, and in this case the love must have been so immense, so beautiful, it could be seen from space. 8. That is purina pro plan food. I use the HA for my cats. Not the vegetarian version because that wouldn’t work for my cats. Cats can’t eat vegetarian, but it’s a really great brand. It’s saved my cat from dying of pancreatitis.

Most importantly I’m absolutely fucking disgusted in this so-called professional doctors one of the very first things you do is look at a animals diet when they are sick or not feeling well. Honestly WTF is wrong with the so-called professionals, it’s absolutely disgusting that it took this long and that these people are thinking about making final preparations to put their dog asleep absolutely outraged

13. Why didn't they come to the diagnosis much earlier? That was the most obvious thing. Allergy to animal protein.

17. Some veterinarians specialize and spend an extra 4 years learning in the department of medicine they choose (surgery, internal medicine, cancer radiology, etc). If you live too far away from a specialist, then you can always ask your general practitioner veterinarian if they can call a specialist for support in a diagnosis.

18. Why would they let it get to this point before seeing a vet?

19. I have an Italian greyhound, so I guess skinny dogs are close to my heart. Her sweet demeanour reminded me so much of my girl. I’m so happy that beautiful dog can be happy and healthy now!❤

20. I have a dog with the same problem, she is also a rescue. I was also close to giving up but now she is the most loving dog, healthy and happy🐕🙏

21. Dexter had an allergy to animal protein. His showed up in skin. On my lord…glad, she is doing well.

22. I'm so happy that Dr. Amy was able to figure out what was wrong with Harlow. Her family must've been heartbroken and the poor baby was close to being put down. I'm thankful they found a way! ❤❤❤

24. This is something I’m gonna save just in case if I ever come across that with my pets, I’m glad they found out what wrong because I’m sure the owner would be heartbroken and she put her to sleep and then found out afterwards so

25. if the body is allergic to food and continues to dehydrate, wouldn't there be signs in her excretions (pee and poop) also?

    i've never had dogs, so i don't know if dog owners when they walk their pets to go potty pay attention to their pee/poop. but as a cat owner, when i clean up the kitty litter box, i always pay attention. that's when i know if i had to change their diet or get medicine for my fur kids.

26. The name Harlow got me my dog is also named Harlow 😀

27. My podiatrist dog has the same condition! He ended up going to a pet nutritionist to find the best diet for his dog and stuck to that and his dog also thrives now. It's the only time I agree with giving a dog a vegetarian diet.
