LOL I remember this on Unsolved Mysteries.
That's nothing! Imagine a can of chicken noodle soup chasing you up and down the aisle at the Wailuku Safeway. Helium balloon floating in front of the security cameras at night and moving in circles during the day. Chicken slowly crawling away from the deep fryer when you're not looking. Doughnuts and pastries switching places and disappearing hot coffee whenever it rains. When they used to have live crabs. The crabs used to grab knives and try to stab the workers. The Wailuku Safeway was apparently built over an unmarked Hawaiian burial ground.
I remember this from Unsolved Mysteries
I heard that toys r us wanted to rename to Geoffrey's toy box😮
Another good story, love this channel
I went to that Toys R Us every once in a while until it closed down. Never felt anything paranormal when I would go there nor my family. It wasn’t until Toys R Us went out of business that I heard that it was haunted.
ATARI. Interesting word. A-Tor-ey. The prefix "a" indicated "devoid of" + "Tor" + suffix "i" or "y" or "ey" indicating an adjective. So all together it means "Devoid of the Torah."
Bahahaha he's a pervert ghost wtf man not even in death does it stop the pervert lmao hahaha
Wow! I've never heard about this story. Thanks for another great episode!
I lived in Sunnyvale for a few years in the late 80's/early nineties and always shopped at that Toys R Us whenever I needed a gift for my niece and nephews. I never saw anything move or heard anything but one time I had the feeling that someone was standing way too close to me, but no one was there. That feeling never stopped no matter which aisle I was in and I got so creeped out I left without getting a gift. I didn't know that the store was supposedly haunted until many years later. Super weird.
LOVEE UR CHANNEL AND ABSOBLUTELY LOVE WHEN U PUT PARANORMAL VIDEOS. THANK U💙💙🤍😅
Romanticised bollox. Who did Johnny tell his story to as he laid dying, the nobody's that came to his aid? Men nowadays wont even talk about their feelings to their best friends, so back in the 1880s theres no chance he had chatted to anyone about this, the girl he loved was never aware of it, so she didnt tell anyone. This is just a made up story, made up to fit the narrative. Its a legend, not historical fact. The building could very well be haunted, it may even be haunted by Johnny, but the storry associated with it is absolute bull, because nobody would have any way of knowing the in's and out's of how Johnny felt about Elizabeth. Its not like he cane out with it on his death bed to anyone. People need to think about these stories behind these hauntings before they blindly accept them as fact.
I worked at an Ollies and we had something that lived in the children’s book section. Books would just fall onto the floor for no reason or if there was a disturbance, such as an upset customer, the books would fall from the shelf to the floor.
I grew up in Sunnyvale, CA in my early teens.
(Favorite place I’ve lived EVER!)
I had NO CLUE that our local Toys R Us was haunted!
I’m obsessed with real life ghost stories as an adult.
I don’t do horror or slasher movies, but TELL ME your ghost encounter.
I’ve never had one myself… someday.
2:07 Wtf is an REI? Before you use an acronym you need to say what it stands for.
I am a skeptic ,and since I had my first paranormal experience . My mind is definitely open. My experience was very traumatic and I am still confounded by. Never pick up any litter off of a really old grave, Especially if you have sensitivity issues like me. It might feel a little like ketamine. LOL. My did at least.
If Johnny is there he must be a dummy if he is still looking for Elizabeth after all these years. I assume he can read a calendar.
Stoners.
Former Toys R Us manager chiming in. We used to prank new hires by having them zone the girls aisles after close. Our lights were motion detected and would eventually start to go off after customers had left and once people were no longer in departments. When the lights would start to go out it would trigger most of the dolls in the girl’s aisle where the Baby Alive dolls were located. This would cause some to move and you’d hear like 20 dolls start saying things like “I Love You Mommy” all at the same time. We all knew this would happen so it wouldn’t affect us, but to someone who doesn’t know to expect it boy can it be kinda surprising. Over the years I saw some who found it funny, some that found it mildly scary, and one or two that actually found it completely terrifying. We were all in on it, it had been a thing long before me and everyone else had ever started there.
The other common occurrence would be that some toys eventually fall due to the weight in the package, or the glue holding the plastic to the cardboard getting weak, and especially if it was a stuffed animal. Over time some of them getting buried would cause them to get smushed, that would cause others that were leaning on it for support to fall. When one would fall it could also cause a domino effect because we would overstock the floor with items to avoid having to top stock items. Especially during inventory.
Lastly, at night before closing we would zone the aisles and face products so they’d be pulled forward to the front of the shelf. Often times toys would be halfway hanging off the shelf again due to overstocking to avoid top stocking or because many of us were tired and burnt out from dealing with Christmas shoppers and hearing Mariah Carey on repeat for 12 hours while getting paid $7.25-$8 an hour so most of us were running low on fucks. Toys with batteries often have a “Try Me” window and all kinds of shit will trigger it, other toys, dying batteries, shelf pegs because they’re stacked, etc. all it takes is for one toy to start rocking around in the box (like when the motion detection goes off with the lights) and each rock brings it slightly forward on the shelf. It won’t fall immediately, but let it get a few rocks off and they will literally rock themselves off the shelves. Due to things like this many “paranormal” events in Toys R Us usually aren’t paranormal sadly. Although it would be neat if they were.
Also it isn’t uncommon for toys to have a voice recorder in them (at least years ago it was) and 9/10 you were going to hear a cuss word by an edgy kid, most of the time by a father that never grew up, and sometimes from a child saying “hello? Hello? Can you hear me?” Some people would also record spooky things to mess with people. This was especially common with the display tablets. The picture and record feature should be disabled upon installation, but due to those few fucks many had when getting paid $7.25 it often wasn’t or even if it was you didn’t need to be a genius to figure out how to disable them. 9/10 the things saved would be words like “Say Fuck Fuck Fuck” or someone taking a selfie of them flicking it off, or they’d enable WiFi connect to the free TRU WiFi and would disable parental controls and look up porn. Working retail for many years definitely lead to many horror stories however they are seldomly if ever paranormal.
Went there around 9 years ago. Sylvia Browne completely made-up the backstory pertaining to the activity.
You guys did the haunted toys r us!! I’ve seen this before!
I remember this from Unsolved mysteries
Is the new REÍ store getting the paranormal acty
A haunted toys r us? That's pretty amusing lol. Not to make it sound like I don't believe! I've lived in haunted houses before and there no joke.
Well Johnny stop pestering people! I'm sure Elizabeth, by now is also a ghost!😂
My brother had an Atari, Sega and a Nintendo and I got a super Nintendo
I thought he was saying "Sunndale" lol I was like ITS A REAL PLACE?? lol and it would've made so much sense lol
PROOF MY A$$!! CLICKBAIT! Wasn't it determined that the whole Johnny and Elizabeth story was just made up and there's zero evidence to back it up??
I live in the area…. grew up here….been here many times. if it was made up… why only THIS TRU store? why dont we hear stories of all kinds of TRU stores being haunted? I find it interesting.
Thanks SM/Andrew. Always knew my Teddy Bear was Alive**
My sister worked there in the late 70's. She would tell me about spooky things going on there especially after hours.
Bill Gates is a hybrid alien, the toys were genetically altered to become partly human trying to communicate .
Johnny is a perv
Remember hearing about this on "That's Incredible!"
Great episode! You're a fantastic narrator.
How is this channel not in the million views?!?!?!
Maybe someone should of just helped hiim pass over let him know he died and what year it was and his love has passed on.
Jon tron
Yonny!!! Don’t shin yourself!!
I first saw this on a TV special called Haunted Lives, hosted by Leonard Nimoy.
Where many of the video clips are from.
I'm extremely doubtful that everyone conspired to fake a haunting to simply not show up.
Oh, and his name is pronounced Yanni, not Johnny. There, the J has a Y sound.
