32. 6 years ago a friend posted a pic of a dog returned to the same pound that adopted him out 2 years before. The reason . . . he wasn't house trained❗
    I knew that would put him at the top of the kill list. Friday & already it was 17: 06. I called anyway. And somebody picked up.
    Made arraignments to adopt him Tuesday by using my friend's name. She was well known to them.
    Tuesday just after noon he was ours.
    For months he never barked and he walked with his tail between his legs. Then it happened.
    Saturdays is grilled Ribeye night at our house. Tail came up a started wagging. He and Tiberius the Yorkie are best buds forever.
    And that was the best 1400 mile round trip for my little family. Elvis was home 💕
