The dumb thing is, the copilot was sitting in the seat while the 15 yo boy forced controls. Honestly, the only thing the pilots did wrong was allow kids in the cockpit.
I know they were kids but with all due respect, they two were idiots.
That audio from the plane crashing was horrifying. You just hear their panicked voices and then their voices just stop as the plane crashes, as if they were never there to begin with

Thatโs not what the official reports say actually the kid did not yank the yoke the auto pilot disconnected with out a warning so some how the kid did disconnect it but it was a malfunction on the autopilot part

It was an airbus a320 which has a small red button on the joystick which disables the autopilot and auto throttle.
If your ever nervous on a plane ride just know the pilots want to arive at the destination just as much as you do

You got the story wrong a bit, the kids did not disengage the autopilot. The pilot did that, he wanted to show that you cant move the yoke in autopilot. He then switched on the autopilot but it was still banking to the right. And the yoke was stuck. The kids bank caused too much g force and the kid couldnt move out of the seats to get the captain in. The copilot got squeezed into his seat and by the time they gained control they had crashed.
