When a dog is terminally ill and suffering, sometimes there’s only one option. Even though it may be the best option, it still makes it the hardest to face.

  1. It's heart breaking to loose a beloved pet, even a rescue one, I've not had another dog since my last dog went over the rainbow 15 or so years ago. We have dogs in the family still…

  2. Oh this hit home… my first dog died last year in February, and I had to make the choice for my third dog in February. It’s been a month and seeing this just made me ball my eyes out. It’s never easy, but we have to do what’s best for them. Fly free with my Junebug and Honey. 💔🐾🐶

  3. There will never be a day where saying goodbye to your four legged family member doesn't hurt. It tears you up inside, and you'll question every move you made to that point. Were they happy? Did you give them enough love? Could you have done anything different?

Nine times out of ten, the answer is no. You've given your best friend the best you could. You loved them to the bitter end and you were strong enough to give them peace. Helping your best friend cross the rainbow bridge to peace and lack of suffering is one of the bravest things anyone can do.
