  1. DISABLED dogs** 55 DISABLED dogs, in wheelchairs, incontinent dogs, blind, deaf, it goes on. At least five were found dead in her home freezer, and one more in a trashcan. The dogs are out of the home but they're not safe, countless others will need to be euthanized because they're in such bad shape. People- check on your neighbors. This should NEVER have happened with neighbors just inches away. Shame on the neighbors as well as PD and AZ humane society.

  2. Good news, they’re getting the dogs out, and she’s being arrested, I heard it from the Be Like Josh foundation who had one of their dogs in this woman’s house.

  3. Guarantee that any rescue that is treating animals properly would let people, namely news crews, into their home without a second thought. If they had nothing to hide, then they have no need to delay

  4. Please help these dogs!!!! I so hope you folks will be doing a follow up on this story – it’s sounds like serious animal cruelty, abuse, and horrifying conditions .

  5. Please update the welfare of the dogs there. If they refused to let you see the shelter then it must be really bad conditions for the dogs.

  6. So glad you exposed this. People need to be checking on places, but to be honest, all kinds and levels of neglect are out there. A family member brought me a little chihuahua from a H.S. shelter near Portland, Or. and they paid over $300 for the poor little thing which had a noticeable limp. I called and asked what the problem was. Was told there was "just a hairline fracture" and it would heal quickly. I inquired about restricting exercize, etc. They said no, let her decide what she could do. Time passed and the limp worsened. Took her to a local vet..xray revealed an major break. Vet contacted H.S. shelter to request their xrays before asking me to pay for new ones because my disability and social security income keeps me below poverty level….guess what? They never xrayed her leg! Once my vet did it turned out the only thing to be done was microsurgery at a cost of $3,400 with only a 40% chance of effectiveness plus it would involve extreme pain. If it did not work out the only other option was amputation…which would of course mean more money and pain. Excuse the rant..still pissed…point being, you never really know what kind of treatment (or lack of) these poor animals get unless folks check out facilities . Even the big ones Thank you for acting on your gut instinct and posting this.

  7. Oh my. Glad you all went with your gut feeling. We ignore our natural instinct too much. Thank you for being such a great human being. And neighbors did you report?? Why not? Thanks to all officers and kind folks involved. It is people like you that get things changed.
