  1. You actually wouldn't need a coupler for the HX55 in a traditional compound turbo setup. The boost from the big turbo is supposed to be forced through the small turbo.

  2. Diesel guy here, and a compound turbo kit is the other way around. Atmospheric turbo,(the one that is open to atmosphere) is the big turbo, then the smaller turbo is fed by the big one to compound it.

  3. Wheres the lubrication at u know youll siese a turbo quickly if not lubricated right id run some oil feed lines if i where u its a good idea tho

  4. The way thus is setup the small turbo is a restriction ,if you use the comp outlet of the big turbo to feed the intake of the small one you'll have the same spool but it won't be restricted ,I did a compound setup on a 4l 6 cylinder using a gt35 and a promod 91 ,4k Rpm the promod was alive

If you stopped and thought about it, you would quickly realize that the small turbo will only be an exhaust restriction and hurt performance. Use a home depot fitting to save money and do a real compound set up, it's better than doing something that you know will be lame.

  6. Evan shanks claimed to have the first compound setup on a civic. But his isn't running yet, and technically yours is….so….did you just steal the MFin title for FIRST? FROM MR.SHANKS 🤣 YAS

  7. I don't think the output of the compressor is enuff to overcome exhaust pack pressure. And it the compressor output could move the turbine ….would that be perpetual power?

  8. Hmm, try to make big guy work somehow, have pfi look at it cross-eyed as it makes 400 hp before throwing it's rods at you. Would be kinda cool, 2 cheap turbos from random cars spooling some diesel turbo, making power for cheap. Weld it up proper and I'm sure it will work way better. There were those guys that boosted a junkyard ls with 2 compound diesel turbos, so like 4 total or something and it make over 600, even tho it looked like a restriction at first on the Dyno, half of the day they were sitting on 200hp , Dyno guy was like, yeah that's it. Until they figured it out and it made like 670. Refer to your google!
