    I now carry my pistol in my car , it's perfectly legal for me to do so in my state but I hate doing it. When I go into the business or Doctors office I can't carry it with me so I'm worried the whole time I'm away from my vehicle that it might get broken into a my gun then gets stolen.
    An old friend of mine was murdered in New Orleans several years ago by thugs who blocked him in with their car and dragged him out of his car and beat him to death. He was 71 years old so fist fighting his way out of that incident was not an option !
    I'm 68 & poor shape and now have Covid lung so there's no fight left in me so pistol is all I have. The City where I have to for various Doctors appointments is as almost as dangerous as New Orleans now (the other end of the state) and vulnerable people are constantly becoming victims of these modern day hywaymen ,thugs, police are horrible and understaffed so there's not much help there either. So when some jerks come to pull me out of my car they better have a gun cause I've decided I'm going down shooting back. A victim yeah but at least one who's able to fight back some.
    Makes me so sad to see how bad our country has gotten to be.
    Car jacking is epidemic in our state.

20. Situational awareness and making yourself a hard target. All you can do. People need to take this to heart.

21. Why would some random guy make a beeline toward me in a public place? The real takeaway is don't go to shady places where there potential for these type people. If you do you're obviously there for no good. I go to the grocery store for food, gas station for gas, shoe store for shoes…I don't go to the bad side of town for that, down the train tracks, the hood, trailer park, hourly rate motel, etc. No reason you'd ever run into these situations unless you're where you'll find it…then that's your own doing.

22. Watching these clips I noticed some things. The guy leaning up against the car was leaning up against another person's vehicle that wasn't his. Making him the instigator and the problem. The lady in the convenience store was the aggressor initially and the guy who pointed his finger in her face was simply at his breaking point. Again, the blame is on her not him. Equal rights means equal lefts. Then there was the guy with the weapon wearing the orange shirt. He clearly was not the aggressor as everytime he moved away the other guy followed and got more and more confident, including physically brushing up against the man.

    Every person in these scenarios was depicted as the one to watch out for. From what I saw, they were not the threat but merely people who had been threatened.

The best thing to do is as soon as you detect a possible danger to you should avoid the situation immediately and don’t bother with determining the level of force continuum you could engage them in!! Pretend your on a reconnaissance mission and would only engage them if absolutely necessary!! Doing otherwise is endangering your mission which is to survive at all costs!!

34. They only way to learn to fight is to fight, not by watching you tube "fight "science" videos with some clueless host or taking "self defense" classes. There are thousands of videos on youtube of lifelong martial arts practitioners, "experts" and "masters" and so on, who get the shit kicked out of them in their first real fight.

41. In short, play your game, not theirs. Any time you play into their scenario, you risk yourself and give them the advantage to control the outcome. Dont give them that advantage, you choose the direction. You maintain control.

42. The biggest problems are from people who train. They want to test out their skills., and seek justification to use those skills. I've seen this time and time again. They're hammers, and all they see are nails. The last three potential incidents I've had have been from boxers and kick-boxers – all of which sent me challenges, but I declined their invitation to enter into a "Monkey Dance." Nothing happened because of the knowledge I have, but my ego and self-esteem did take a knock.

    So I know how easy it is to get sucked into traps that aggressive people with displaced aggression set – especially those that perceive themselves to have the advantage. One of the incidents was from a woman who had a weapon palmed in her right hand – she played the dominance game with me, and dared me to accept her challenge. But because my goal is always to avoid confrontation, I gave up my space and walked past.
