The Ioniq 6 starts from £46,000 although this launch edition is £54,000. RWD and AWD versions are available, with 228ps and 325ps respectively. It’s a more efficient, slippery car than the Ioniq 5, but the trade off is less boot space and cabin headroom.

  1. Thanks. Great overview. Another consideration: from what I understand, the Kia / Hyundai EV are a lot more reliable than the Tesla, and a lot more affordable than the EQE.

  2. How does the battery do in cold weather? A friend just rented a 2022 Niro EV and had major problems charging during a cold snap here in Colorado. After 11 hours of charging indoors the best she got was 40 SOC. That's less than 100 miles of range in good weather. She'll be a hard sell for any EV in the future. She traded the Niro in for an ICE minivan.

  3. It looks stupid imo. Just too much borrowed from Porsche, and not very well implemented. The back end is interesting and not too bad but too busy. Front styling is genering and dull, and doesn't match the rear even slightly. The side profile is just unbalanced and comical, kind of looks like a Panamera Turismo that a giant stepped on

  4. Dude, I absolutely love your whole style for these videos. I got ASMR chills a couple times because of how laid back and natural it felt. Just, really good job, man.

  5. I’m sure it’s very nice but did you mention the price? It will be a out of money for a car that is not particularly spacious for its size, and doesn’t have air vents that you can just twiddle.

  6. Sorry, if it was a chinese car, the first thing I know you would have said would be that is looks like a porsche from the back…. BUT because its not Chinese, you don't say it

  7. Jonny, I love your videos, but I am beyond confused as to how you can't pronounce Hyundai properly. You waffle back and forth in this video between two incorrect pronunciations. It's "huhn-day". Not "hi-un-dai" or "he-un-day". There are only two syllables.

  8. Great review Johnny. Hyundai are certainly showing the other legacy manufacturers the way to go with EVs. The elephant in the room for the Ioniq 6 is the Tesla Model 3. It’s the car it mostly has to compete with for market share. With the recent price cuts the Model 3 costs a bit less. Then there’s the BYD Seal when it hits Europe. It will be a 3 way fight in this segment.

  9. All the nanny crap on cars these days (I’m thinking speed limit bongs) are legislated without thought or research. My Merc C bongs at me all the time over its paranoia, yet another bong will lead to important info going unnoticed (like a door ajar, or an unbuckled kid). If you don’t know you’re in a different speed limit, pay more attention.

  10. Have had an EV6 GTL since Jan 22 and now have an Ioniq6 due for delivery Mar 23.
Unfortunately the EV6 has suffered from the 12v battery drain and is in the dealers for (now 6 weeks) investigation.
I love the EV6 but being without it will compromise my Ioniq6 purchase. Haven’t a clue what to do.

  11. I think we need a new tax system based on pointless plastic add ons that do nothing but entertain someones pea brained mind for all of 2 min. Lit up logos on steering wheels , rob mood lighting all childish bollocks tbh.

  12. I'm not particularly in the market for a car–I have a 2021 Sonata hybrid–but this thing is the EV I'd want. I think it's better-looking than the 5 too. The front end is a little weird, but, you know, they're getting away from putting fake grilles there.
