    Yes he did burn his house down and stand there but he was likely in shock. Which is reasonable since at that age the act of playing with a lighter is all that you think about before doing it. Not the consequences that come after. Children make mistakes(some bigger than others). But it's a parents job to help correct those mistakes and be sure they don't do it again.

    The reason his voice is different has to do with a trauma blockage in the growth of his brain. Trauma can really stunt the way a humans brain grows and could even effect abilities such as talking, seeing, hearing, and in some occasions tasting. In this instance it was talking. The brain controls every movement throughout the body so it's only logical that any type of damage to it could cause long term damage to physical abilities
