7. Aw! Some of them like the rain but some of them are a bit afraid . The thunder and lightning they don’t like it . Takis I hope the rain will not cause any problems for you at the shelter . I think they had a lot of problems in main land Greece . Hope you all stay save 🤞🏻🙏🏻🐾❤️🐾😊

9. Rain is good for trees and vegetation. Its sound is soothing even for the dogs in the room, they remain calm while papa Takis goes around checking on them, petting some. Usually some would jump up to him, tail wagging or play with each other. Ringo has put on weights, he looks like a different dog. Some dogs like to stay outside, the rain doesn't bother them. Grandpa relaxes in his bed that nobody can share. The smell of wet dogs make me smile…

25. Some of our shelter dogs hurt themselves trying to escape the thunder. We have to watch some of them very closely. They do things they wouldn’t normally do and only because they are so scared of the noice. I can’t imagine having to watch after so many dogs during a thunderstorm.

    I wish the Humane Society here in the USA would build better shelters, the dogs here live in these cement rooms like in a jail, you would think the Humane Society would follow your example…..I wish All Animal Shelters would be like Takis Shelter!!!🙏🙏🙏❤️

So glad you are all safe terrible weather so much rain I have been many times to visit my daughter over 14 years she had lived in Crete can't believe how bad it was she has just came back to England to live so thank you takis for all you hard work saving and looking after the poor animal stay safe 😊☺️

43. All dogs are disappointed and look at Takis like saying ‘Hé Daddy, when will it be dry again?’.

44. I wonder what happens for people who have modern cisterns for water autonomy. I hope some system exists so that they click closed and don't overflow since some are buried.

45. Rain is not a daily occurrence in Crete, look how the dogs react, they are unsettled.
