12. They are likely from the same herd, females are rarely alone and certainly not with a calf. Elephants make many more subsonic sounds than the trumpeting/bellowing we hear from them. She likely had called for help using subsonic sound, which elephants both hear and feel with their sensitive feet, and the group answered.
