21. Is this video showing us real life? No, but a male lion would see and hear the cub's distress. He would now be on the defensive and go check his territory. He'd find the pack of hyenas and his instinct.would be to drive the off. The other members of the pride would (minus all cubs) attack, too. Lions lack the higher level brain function for emotions equal to humans and other animals.
