Everyone shud have in the experience of life encountered a desert that is a sugar on sugar. Sometimes these Austen productions are just that when at each turn of the page it takes a certain delivery to make it entertaining if you have had served one too many deserts of sugar on sugar. Maybe thats why as a child I wud heave a spoonful of sugar on my tongue to fell it melt and not be offended yet just as a child wud make a snack of a dill pickle and today cringe from the thot.
Its neat how in the modern UK when they adpat the older English style accents , where they speak more slowly and less hurried , it sounds much closer to American speech than we realize.
“Six good hens and now Miss Tayler!” 😂
Great cinema in every aspect, great author, but more so, Emma realises her own misguided nature.
No twerking??
What's up with that ending?
He's not THAT gentile.
What is Mrs. Elton’s accent?
This performance is well made I enjoyed every second of it.
The idea is outstanding It made my day better.
I watched the stage play last night and I can't get enough of that wonderful story. So here were are.
My favorite Emma adaptation!
It must've sucked to have to wear a wedding dress to sleep in every night.
“What’s right to be done cannot be done too soon.” 💡
Mark Strong is perfect as Mr. Knightley. Did Jane Austen ever explain why he was not married?
They ruined this at the end by making it weird. Talking about holding her as a baby before making out is gross.
Excellent movie!
I am here because Of Charlie Kirk🙏🏻
The line when he said “I remember holding you at three weeks” isn’t the best pick up line but it also isn’t that bad considering the time period..he never groomed her they we like family, he was probably still a child when she was born he doesn’t look more than 8-10 years older than her he has a receding hairline (which some men get in their 20s) but no fine wrinkles or lines at all.
She had a unique understanding of the people around her and their motives. Her novels stand the test of time and are enjoyed by each new generation.
I've never been able to make it through any version of Emma. This is a wonderful exception.
