  1. I have a lab and she is absolutely beautiful ❤️ we love her so much. Shr loves my kids – when we are out walking she always stops and waits until the kids are next to her before walking

  2. Ok…. don't you dare say Staffordshire Bull terriers are great with children. That's not true at all.

They are basically a Pitbull. With dog aggression and majority have Human aggression too. Don't set people up.

  3. I had a Staffordshire. He was amazing with people and kids, but he was very excitable and dominant. Our Baba died a week before my kid was born and to be honest, I would not choose this breed now that I have kid, because I know how much patience and training they take. They can get really agressive and dangerous with an owner who humanizes dogs too much and doesn't see how they reinforce bad behaviour. My friend has a lab and the energy is day and night. I must admit that when it comes to temperament, labs rarely get dangerous if they have an oblivous owner.

  4. Please don’t avoid dogs for their breeds though, they can all be sweethearts even if you think they aren’t 😊 don’t take that message about choosing a good dog breed like that

  5. Isn’t the Staffordshire Terrier a pitbull? I’m looking for a bigger dog to add into my family. I have a 2.5yo toddler. I love this breed but I heard so many pitbull attack episodes.

  6. When i was a kid we had labs and golden retrievers brilliant dogs, easy to train and Millie the oldest used to look after me like i was her own baby. Have a black lab now for my daughter beautiful and wonderful behaved although is daft as a brush

  7. My dog is definitely not suitable for a family.Hes a lurcher crossed with a collie. 8. I had a Siberian Husky as a child and he was golden to me and my siblings… So i'd recommend that breed based on first hand experience!

  9. Parents had Dobies. They were fine but either lying around like slugs or ready to whoop ass. Not a kid's playmate. Raised my kids with a GSD and 2 Labs in succession. Now raising autistic grandson and wanting to get away from the shedding, but there is just no getting around how perfect both the GSD and the Labs were and one still is with the kids.

  10. We have been graced with the honor of a Toffee, she's a lab/retriever and she's amazing. The most chill dog ever even as a puppy. Important not to over feed them, she developed 2 lumps we needed to remove cause my Dad kept giving her food from his dinners. I finally got him to stop and she's a healthy and happy 14yr old. They are very special dogs. And for those wanting a dog to feel safe… they're a great choice, she's got a very powerful bark. They're the best all rounder dog I've ever come across. I cuddle with her every night, don't know what I'll do without her ❤
They shed alot but it's beyond worth it 😅

  11. My family's always been pro-doberman. Never had one bad with kids & most of them were female (only 1 was male). But our current one is female, Goliath sized, & perfectly socialized. My 10 year old nephew loves her though she's mainly crazy about me. We don't regret getting her.
