This unusual chapter in the Superman saga finds the Man of Steel questioning his relevance when a new, more aggressive, crop of superhero crusaders captures the public’s imagination. When catastrophe hits Earth, Superman springs into action as usual, but this time he gets some unexpected help from a new squad of superheroes who call themselves The Elite. Composed of four powerful beings and led by the brash and calculating Manchester Black, this new force brings a raw, wild mentality to the battle against evil, never hesitating to kill their foes — even on a massive scale — something Superman would never consider. Despite public support for the bloody methods of The Elite, Superman knows they are in the wrong, creating more harm than good. Tensions between Superman and The Elite rise until Superman challenges them to a showdown. The residents of Metropolis watch from a safe distance as the superheroes fight on the Moon.

People seem to often forget, he is not of this earth and the true level of how much he holds back. The man's an eldritch horror dressed up in the American Flag. Its truth and justice that makes him human. Take that away, and you have a true demon that could blink the earth away if he truly wanted…
this is the story they should adapt to live action
it has a message
and isn't the type of problem superman can punch his way out of
This should have been an anime movie.
This deserves more recognition.
Interesting .. I’m liking DC more than Marvel these days. Marvel fell off a cliff when Disney came in …the last decent Marvel movie was Winter Soldier and Civil War ! The Avengers suck , Spider Boy is the worst , X men suck , Wolverine sucks , the Un fantastic four suck ! Blade was good. Anything that had Disney co-signed is ….trash ! I started watching DC animation instead
Very good writing ! Batman the Animated Series , Superman the Animated Series , Justice League Unlimited the Animated Series . Unfortunately DC s movies are just as bad as Marvel ? Aquaman was good !
Deep in the Bat cave ( slow clap) well played Kent , well played
That kid was wrong for leaving his dad so it was his fault not superman
29:23 Supes looking like Peter Griffin and Stan Smith did the fusion dance
42:44 this is one of Superman’s weaker enemies I might add
My favourite superman film ever!
Great story and better adaptation of the comic its based on!
George Newburn for the JLA series
and providing a very relevant and great input of topical conflicts and problems we're still having today!
No contest!

Superman you fweaky fella
"THEY MAKE MICROWAVE POPCORN IN YO TARROR-ASS COUNTY?"
Strawman arguements aside,
it's a kind of cathartic film.
The Elite were absolutely right throughout the majority of the movie. Serial murderers and terrorist need to be killed before they kill again.
Your channel is underrated.
This overly feminist Lois Lane is nauseating 🤢
Def my favorite Louis lane
24:46 …I would’ve been like, “but you already said”now”, 🗣️WTF⁉️”💀🗿
1:10:12 even this kid is done with Manchester Black
44:45 I just realized that this kid is responsible for his father’s death. I’m not being mean or cynical here but he directly ran towards a dangerous situation without thinking to a guy who has the power to take his life and got his dad caught in the crosshairs
The fact that James Gunn confirmed the authority movie or series in the DCU and it's version to Superman is similar to the kind and hopeful all-star superman; I hope to God we would see a live action version of this movie.
1:04:39 The timing here was impeccable.
Why is it DC can write fantastic animated films but their live action ones are always crap?
omg lois lane needs to stfu!!!
The match stick in Manchester Black's mouth is so funny. Why, guys? What does this censorship accomplish!? We know what it's covering up!
Great information, thank you.
Animation error at 5:26 lol he’s holding Superman but he isn’t here
Love the messaging in this movie, but one plot hole at the end really bugs me. If Superman can just de-power people at the fortress of solitude… why are the supervillains recurring (at least in the context of this movie)? The energy guy seemed to have very similar powers to Atomic Skull; so… probably could have avoided all the deaths caused by Skull.
I appreciate your effort.
Polls about upcoming topics double as demand validation.
Black guy is like marvels power man
The content is clear and easy to follow It helped me understand better.
is it just me or should the new superman movie have been inspired by this. Like not just another Lex Luthor vs Supes slop, i would enjoy a new spotlight for other villains that arent just brainiac lex, or Metallo..
Why does Superman watch kids on the playground just to get there opinion about him
I wounder how much of this story inspired James Gunn for his Superman movie. A movie that was awesome by the way.
"Crime doesn't pay" Uh… tell that to the cartel, why do you think they're still around? They pay.
Superman is the real punk rock
I kinda love superman!
Best part of my day.
14:13 Boston BOSTON of all the US cities brainiac takes BOSTON?! 😭
Really dislike the art in this one, pretty much ruins it for me. Way too cartoony. I really prefer the more realistic/better drawing of the other movies, like the one where Superman dates Wonder Woman before Lois (forget the name but its a series of 2 or 3 movies) I liked the story but it could have been so much better if they had gone for the better art of the other movies.
Collaborating with micro-creators in other languages unlocks new segments.
Non-English music taps into vast global audiences.
This movie is perfect enough said this movie shows what corruption is now I didn’t read the original comic it’s based on which I believe is called “What's So Funny About Truth, Justice & the American Way?” But it probably follows the similar plot of this movie with some differences because they adapted a comic into a 1 hour movie so it’s not going to be 1 to 1 but I like how Superman just realizes that he has to lower himself to The Elite’s level in order to beat them
This is much better than Gunn’s or Snyder’s Superman.
Transparency about uncertainty builds credibility.
Why doesn't Superman ever fly his enemies out of the city? The collateral damage is tremendous
“NO DON’T KILL HIM, SURE HE KILLED 100s AND WILL KILL 100s MORE WHEN HE ESCAPES IN A FEW DAYS BUT IF WE KILL HIM WE ARE NO DIFFERENT!”
Sorry not buying into the propaganda.
supes is built different i woulda folded the second i was hit on by a crazy snake lady
