Hey JettKuso I wanted to talk to you… I recently have been dealing with life and went through some toys until I found my Bakugon. I remembered you because I LOVED watching your bakugon videos. I scrolled and scrolled until I found your video talking about no more bakugon. I was so sad and I’m sorry if this hurts you or if I’m being mean. I wanted to know how your bakugon are doing and what you’re going to do with them, sell them, give them away, or just store them, store them far, far, away… I wanted to say hi and I will always remember you. See you and I hope this topic could make a bakugon video, because I am a part of that red light.
I think one of the more interesting fidgets I’ve seen is switchkraft
Growing up (undiagnosed AuDHD until post-high school) I remember my mum (currently in the process of being diagnosed ADD) showing me a "worry stone", a small, polished rock with an indent the perfect size for a thumb. To this day it gives me the same soothing effect as the smooth part of Louis fidget seems to provide you. Typically though my fidgeting involves cracking my knuckles or other joints, or tapping rapidly.
Love that you’ve gone from “I need to feel like a kid again” to “I don’t like being infantilized.”
A butterfly knife was my fidget toy for two decades.
So, at 7:24 of this video, I was just starting to play with my cube that's the same model of this one
I can't get the song that's playing around the 6-7 min mark out of my head. It's so risk of rain-y, what is it?
This thing makes me mis my metal spin ring from this jewelry seller i lost it at my old house and miss it so much after this video i have adhd but my fidgets always get taken by teachers so i need my ring because teachers cant tell it spins
I tend to keep a beyblade in my pocket specifically to mess with it occasionally. Its just fin to take apart or spin on a table when the brain-worms start wriggling a little too much. 8:04 See? We've both got GREAT taste. 10:30 No, I get i-wait…hold on, am I on the spectrum? Huh…
hard to beat a nice ball bearing big enough to stick your finger through. the weight and smoothness of the metal, how it interacts with temperatures, and the soft noise and vibrations when you spin it. perfection!
10:33 yeah i get that. Thumb rubbing is a great method of stimming
The 0.2mm nozzle is not worth the extra time it takes to print unless you're printing exceptionally tiny detailed items. Like metal jewelry level.
Just print in 0.4mm and save yourself 75% of the time
If you want to get in the weeds with it you can even get most of the details of the 0.2mm by adjusting the slicing settings. But that's a bit far down the rabbit hole for people who really just want to print existing designs off makerworld.
TLDR, 0.2mm isn't an upgrade. Just keep the default nozzle in.
I really enjoyed fidget spinners but I never liked how if you used them for any length of time they would sorta act like a fan and make your hands cold. That's not something many people mention though, so it could just be a me thing lol.
Print a Gundam Jett!
Now I want to buy another red “classic” fidget spinner
make a fidget spiner table for the 3d printer and make the table spin while it is printing
I'm autistic and when there was a fidget craze it made me so happy because these tools were more accessible to me but then when it faded I did feel a bit bad but I continued to get more I have a whole bag full of them because it's what helps me and some may be seen as cringe but I'd rather be seen as cringe than start clawing at my own flesh
I collected fidget spinners!!!
also hot take, Bambu Labs is my favorite of all the sponsers you have ever had.
ngl i think the kinda tactile and fidgety toys i like are so specific there hard to come by, tho i do love those crinkle tubes
I think you would do well to hear my favorite quote. "When I became a man, I put away childish things; including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up." – CS Lewis.
Also you definitely should have provided links to the objects you printed because I need some of them.
What a lovely commercial.
my favorite fidget toy i printed was an infinity cube, ive been playing with it for 2 years now and im not bored yet
Me suddenly realizing why I hyperfixate on video game controllers so much >.>;;;
I'd love to hear more about your experience with Tourette's. My tics are a defining factor of myself, yet they still bring plenty of anxiety and fear about how I'm perceived by others. It's always nice to hear that the people who make content that I enjoy also have a similar affliction. Love your videos as always, Jett!
Dopamine!
That thumb rubbing thing is so real
Hey I’m still looking for the smaller version of biblically accurate trypio. Do you think you could send me the model for it please?
Sonic screwdrivers mentioned!
Thank you for upfront and direct sponsorship disclosure
I have a wide array of fidgets I use on occasion, and I just about bring them everywhere forms ADHD.
A couple of my personal favorites have been things like the Ono, Chetki, and higher quality metal spinners.
Although I haven't brought them as much lately because I dislike clutter and have been incorporating tamagotchis and digimon into my life for like a year now.(Do Tamagotchis count as fidgets toys?)
12:33 Anyone else notice the patriotic American visuals paired with the British national anthem? 😂
if there's one thing I love about 3D printing that this video highlights to perfection- you can just make whatever the fuck you want as many times as you need to for it to function flawlessly. That sort of rapid prototyping would be prohibitively expensive in literally any other field with literally any other manufacturing method, but here it's as simple as tweaking a model and running it off again!
They're just lame beyblades
4:32 mmm, tuna cube…
Thank you bamboo for giving us more jett videos 🙏
3D print a fidget cockpit like the one from starwars
As an engineer one thing I like the most are compliant mechanism. You should look into it
i have a fidget cube that lives in my handbag and a second on my desk at home. i almost always pull the cube out from my bag during meetings or when i'm waiting for something (like for an event to start). i don't need it, strictly speaking, but otherwise i tend to bounce my legs or just end up feeling more anxious, so it's definitely quite helpful to me. most of those meetings are with mainly neurodivergent people where the use of fidgets is very destigmatised, but even in public spaces i've generally not felt out-of-place for using them.
i also have a small collection of other fidget toys at home, which i put in people's hands if they start fiddling with other stuff of mine that i dont want them to :3
well this is some timing lol, I literally just finished designing, printing, and assembling my own first design of fidget slider!
Anyone who asks what the "point" of a toy is has forgotten that having fun is its own reward, and is not to be trusted.
Biblically accurate fidget spinner
Pens are socially acceptable, clicky and you can disassemble them into smaller parts to play with.
You can also use them to draw if you're only required to listen to something and full attention isn't necessary.
I know it's a personal thing, but if you don't mind could you talk more about yoir tourette and autism spectrum. My favourite toys were also bakugan and beyblades. And I also chew my fingers like a maniac :)))
Listening to that segment of the video made me wonder if maybe i also have the same thing as you. I never knew what urge pushed me to chew my nails so much and your statement made me really curious. Thanks!
Hey Jett,
I bought an A1M last year, and got into using the .2mm and .4mm (and a .8mm!) nozzle.
BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE MOUNTING BRACKET! I did less than 50 nozzle swaps and part the metal bar goes into that holds it to the hotend sheered off entirely, and that clip fell off.
Those where the days
I still love my fidget cube that I keep in my pen bag.
I kind was turned off by fidget spinners specifically because of a trend at my high school to spin them really fast and let them collide into metal table/chair legs, making a loud PINGPINGPINGPINGPING noise and then running away. That and the those little boxes that somehow were louder than clicking a pen. However, that's just my personal experience and I know they help a lot of people.
the little rectangle of three that youve got seems pretty nice, but the springs being in the open worries me that id break them by accident X3 its irrelivant for the moment cuz i dont have a 3d printed but, bleh
