1. I have definitely seen on 3 times a ghost in my life. None of them were creepy and none of them were black. They just appeared and went. I told my Father to try to contact me after he died. He poopooed because he was an atheist. Oh he got in touch with me alright but not as a ghost. But I don't encourage it. Like I said they come to me but none of them were black. If there ghostly and black they must be doing some penance or can't move on. The truth of the matter is, none of us no shit!!!! God/Jesus are the real teachers of our life not ghosts.

3. I have got the Strange But True book. Me and a couple of mates went up there one late night after reading the story. This was back in the early 90s when we were young lads. We drove from Stoke. We never saw anything though.

I dont know if my circumstances have anything to do with my experiences but 4& 1/2 years ago I had a NDE during surgery a few months later I did hospice in my home for my late wife, before she passed she started to see shadow people the I started to see them, I still see them in my hallway & my German Shepherd will go crazy barking at what seems to be nothing in the hallway guarding the doorway, sometimes at night she sleeps in the hall always on alert.

5. Remember very well watching the Stocksbridge bypass episode on "Strange but True" with Michael Aspel, very creepy and as a youngster at the time, gave me nightmares !

I honestly feel that it is a personal experience when it comes to communication between the living and the departed… I am an open minded sceptic, I believe I have had experienced Spirit, more than once, but I cannot prove that to anybody, not even a believer…. but when a complete sceptic driend of mine screamed after visiting my bathroom and coming down the stairs, saw 'a floating arm' and left the house, never ro come back….😂😂😂😂 I did laugh, because I have seen with my own 2 eyes 👀 phenomena in my home….. and they are welcome😊

I believe some aspects of the story, I don't believe the security guards or police and I absolutely don't believe recent sightings, but I do believe the stories of the phantom throwing itself in front of the couples car. I also believe that lorry driver's parking up at night, during the bypass' construction, smelt and saw the monk. Another interesting story is the jogger and his son who both saw the monk walking in the road towards them. What is interesting is that most sightings also included a report of a musty smell whenever they saw the phantom monk.

8. In ‘strange but true’ episode there was also the story of a man who saw an ancient Bronze Age man on a horse?

Eyup so my dad ex police officer saw the monk on SB and there was 2 others with him who confirmed they saw it too they was with him in the car was traveling back towards Sheffield 3 up in the van and it was walking along the bypass they stopped all 3 people saw it got out no one there dead of night

14. Stories are stories. There is no evidence of hauntings. Especially on a road. Logic should always be at the forefront when looking into paranormal claims. You are very attractive though!

15. Looks like a bit of rubbish, a plastic bag for example, being blown across the front of the car. The scene is typically British these sad days, a scruffy looking dump with pot holes everywhere, the path on the bridge is crumbling, litter can be seen on the road at 3:12 in the video. Occam's razor definitely applies.

16. I live in Sheffield and me and a couple of friends went up to the bypass one night to take some pictures and do a bit of amateur ghost hunting. We didn’t see anything with our own eyes but we got a few very peculiar pictures. We heard bells a few times too which was odd. It’s got a strange feeling. Someone was pointing at us with a laser pointer from a house in stocksbridge😂

17. I think those high-power powerlines may have something to do with such high frequencies of paranormal activity, but I'm sure I'm not the first to point this out lol Anyway love your vids ❤🙏

18. Back in the 90’s me and a group of friends. Walk to from Maltby , Hellaby through the field at the back hellaby to Roche Abby . We got to place call locally as car top. We were stood on the edge farmer’s field and a little into the field is a pylon. There was ten of us and we all heard children singing ring of roses. Clear as whistle. We could see in every direction and there was no where to hide and other people but us. We stayed around for about few minutes. It made my hair on the back of my stand on end and still dose.

20. I had experiences in my life that I can’t explain to these days, but I wonder how in the age of 4k, nothing as ever been caught clearly by cameras in photo and or video.

21. Saw strange but true years ago and they saw the torso of the monk shaking the car. When they started on the bypass, lots of ghosts came all over and scared a lot of drivers or something that was getting done. Never been there. Thanks for the upload.

One explanation is that they are nothing more than electromagnetic record made by people that were once in that location. The print or record will continue depnding on the electromagnetics at play at the time. This explains why the same event often is seen over and over again. It is similar to an electromagnetic print on some audio tape.

26. 10:12 It’s the same figure from his room. It looks like a Roundhead soldier with a cape on. Could even be Roman but I’m not sure the helmet is the right type. You can see the cape flow in the live footage. The “helmet” could equally be one of those woollen hats the men used to wear in the medieval period – you know the rounded ones with the band around the front? Either way, I don’t get a bad vibe from that one. I think they need help – the road has disrupted them.

29. I once saw a T-Rex on this very road. I was naked. It was naked. We looked at each other and we both just apologised. I'll never forget that sight. That was my first dinosaur ghost. But not my last……

Hey i just found your channel loving the content there is a video on the YouTube Channel True Lives The Haunting Of Stockbridge Bypass it's the original 1 that was on Stange But True on the 01/12/1994 presented by Michael Aspin it tells the story in depth it's quite interesting and I believe the story about the children being from the local mines as a lot of mineshafts were collapsing in the area at the time.
