ZAMBOANGA CITY, PHILIPPINES – In this video we’re exploring Zamboanga City, one of the most interesting cities in the Philippines and has some of the best food in the Philippines! Located in the south of Mindanao Island, Zamboanga is a melting pot of cultures, and a food paradise. Let’s see just how good the Filipino food is!

A huge thank you to:

Jimmy’s Satti Haus (https://maps.app.goo.gl/R4KmRprNhayeFtKe6) – We’re starting with a legendary restaurant that serves satti, the local version of satay originating from Jolo. Loved the sauce and the atmosphere here, something you have to try.

Hamja’s Eatery (https://maps.app.goo.gl/BZifz6aJDUBc2wkB7) – When you visit Zamboanga City you have to try Tausug Food, a Filipino Muslim people, who are originally from the Sulu archipelago. The food is unbelievable and we tried everything from Tiyula itum – Charred coconut beef soup, to Piyanggang – Charred coconut stew. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in the Philippines!

AntiEns restaurant (https://maps.app.goo.gl/U9FyPGgydjFDRcTW8) – Next up we tried more Tausug food, and learned how to make tiyula itum – a soup made with charred coconut.

Manang Rose Tempura (https://maps.app.goo.gl/DAqNYGTtfWUy6VGE7) – We’re continuing with our Filipino street food tour to eat at the hilarious Manang Rose Tempura, for one of the most popular street food snacks in Zamboanga City! We also took a walk along the waterside and enjoyed some kwek kwek and other unique Filipino street food.

Alavar Seafood Restaurant (https://maps.app.goo.gl/qccbqf1qVnCPDwSz6) – Finally, you can’t go to Zamboanga City without eating at the legendary Alavar Seafood Restaurant for their unbelievable Curacha Alabar – a huge spanner crab flooded with Alavar sauce!!

Zamboanga City is one of the most unique and delicious cities in the Philippines, I loved it and hope to be back again!

  1. Mark is one experience food explorer and don't you think like he were never experienced anything before okay so don't you think your country foodie is the best because Mark is already being everywhere and taste all foreign foods and he act like he never had a best food ever😂 because he fooling you around for you being a dumfool all along for thinking that he never taste the best food. you were wrong dumbo😂

  2. It's the places near/surrounding Zamboanga City that makes it underrated and least visited. People has this misconception that it wasn't safe and with Muslim terrorists. Atleast that's how we think of it here in Manila but I'm sure it's worth visiting but the unrest of the surrounding areas clouded our thoughts

  3. @MarkWiens , please get legit locals from places you want to visit. Chui is the worst representation of food here in the Phils. Its irritating to watch your vlogs if there's someone who is socially awkward, know-it-all human being, fake, overrated and not the right choice just because he got "followers". Please..

  4. The exposure that Cagayan De Oro, Zamboanga City and the other cities Mark is venturing into these last few days / weeks is AMAZING for the locals. Thanks, Mark! I don't live in the Philippines, but I'm happy to see my people are getting the exposure and attention they deserve.

  5. Oh, men, you never get fat. I’ve been watching you since day one maybe. Your
first time in Manila eating skewers. You were a small channel then but, oh men, you never get fat. Still looks the same like the Mark Weins of old.
