  1. But every one of those guys goes down with their opponent, they’re just lucky that their opponent doesn’t have a friend come and kick you in the head while you’re on the ground and that’s the problem with judo wrestling jujitsu. You cannot go down to the ground.

  2. I got Tomoe Nage when I was an 11 year old Judoka in a schoolyard fight. Friends with the guy I was fighting. All the guys I grew up with still think that was the most "awesome" move ever. I bumped my head had a pump knot for weeks afterward, but I won. As a bouncer, executive protection agent, and paramedic, I've used Judo, Greco, Boxing, and Muay Thai way more than anything else. I didn't even start training in BJJ until I was 34 years old. I came over from Judo and recently stopped training. I still train in Judo, Muay Thai, and Karate.
    Judo is worth its wait in gold. Arm and wrist control rule weapons defenses.
