This poor big belly cat was abandoned by its owner. Thankfully, she was found by a kind lady who was out at the park one day. Another woman came up to her and told her that the cat had been there for days and she suspected that it was a house cat who was brought there and abandoned. Most likely due to its illness.
The cat wasn’t scared of humans. The lady picked up the cat and discovered a very big and round belly. It was very soft like there was liquid inside. So the kind hearted lady brought the cat to the animal hospital to see a vet.
The vet put the grey cat under an ultrasound scan and discovered that the gray cat had a lot of liquid in its belly.
Despite looking fat, the cat actually hadn’t eaten in a long time and the vet was anxious to make the cat eat some cat food. Saying that if the cat eat something, the chance of it surviving with increase. But if it doesn’t there’s a chance the cat wouldn’t survive. The cat kept hiccupping and kept having shallow breathing so the vet knew the cat could die at any moment if this isn’t dealt with right away.
Thankfully, under the lady’s insistence and begging, the cat did took a few bites. Then, they began draining the liquid out of the cat. They took out 3 cups of the liquid.
The cat is now okay and in recovery. He’s eating normally and has a good prognosis. He should recover no problem. I don’t actually know what the cat was suffering from because I don’t know how to translate it.
