One on one, by some distance, this is the most dangerous snake in the world. They have the fourth most potent venom of land snakes (6th if sea snakes are included) BUT their venom is the fastest acting venom in the entire snake world.
It gets worse. They have the longest fangs of any elapid and because of their massive size, they can reach any point on your body to bite you. Oh, they are also the fastest moving snakes in the world so good luck with that.
Lastly… They are extremely aggressive and will bite repeatedly.
