Also, I’ve noticed that some sources say Moon records is owned by Yamashita while others claim it’s a label that solely produces works by Yamashita and Takeuchi now. Feel free to clarify if you know more about that!

I would love to explore the mystery behind Ozaki's passing even more so in a longer video sometime in the future. This video would look into the theories and controversies more in-depth. Let me know if you would like to see that, guys!

  2. 1 year away from the unlucky 27, interesting
note, this is not meant to be disrespectful, i just noticed this as someone who knows about the 27 club

  3. I've fallen in love with Yutaka Ozaki for a few months now and was surprised to see him pop up on my recommended videos! He's practically unheard of in the west which is expected. His passion and his voice are unmatched.

  4. I really love your work, especially when you cover different people in this documentary-esque style. Are you familiar with a band called Dir En Grey? If there is anything of note in your opinion to cover, I think it would be really great to hear your take on them. They've become one of my favorite bands as of late, especially their song Ranunculus. Thanks again for your work and I wish you all the best and look forward to your next video. ^_^

  5. It’s always so awkward hearing Japanese words in English conversations. But you’re setting a high standard! Love the content, keep it up <3

  6. As a fellow 日本語 student, don't say 「私は.. 私は.. 私は..」so much, it's less natural. Japanese is the language of omission and understanding implication.

  7. I enjoyed the video but I couldnt get past the fact that Blue Hearts ranked 19th at the poll. Seriously japan the greatest band of all time not even top10?

  8. My theory is that he was murdered because of the corruption that was widespread in the music industry (yakuza). Don’t forget that they were also involved in the gaming industry during those times early 80s-90s. I think he was maybe beaten to death for not paying a sum of money since he is in “their” domain (music scene)?🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Idk but I feel like this makes sense to me lmfao

  9. 14:27 editing anomaly occurred… and P.S. plis next content cover Hyakuro Murasaki 村崎百郎 of all his 鬼畜系 Kichikugai/kichikuke' fad/craze.

  10. I love that I know next to nothing about these topics and when the videos over I have something new to look into online.

  11. I live in Japan and I got a Japanese boyfriend, everytime we go to karaoke he sings "I love you" by Ozaki, he told me what happened to him and I got curious so thank you for this video!

  12. MAN… HE SURE DIED SO YOUNG… HE COULD HAVE DONE MUCH MORE IN HIS LIFE… TY FOR THIS… IM STILL LOOKING FORWARD FOR THOSE ICEBERGS! CHEERS SAKURA-SAN…

  13. Rest in peace Yutaka Ozaki.🙏😞
Idk why but to me Yutaka Ozaki reminds me of Kurt Cobain both talented people taken far too soon and we're ahead of their time and left marks on the musical world for all time.

  14. You mentioned him in a previous video and since then I've probably listened to I love you about a dozen times. Thank you for making a video just about him. 👍👍

  15. You know, if he was caught with stimulants on multiple occasions, and meth was found in his blood at the time of his death, I find it rather surprising that he's still celebrated and fondly remembered, given how so many other Japanese idols and musicians had their legacies forever tarnished and essentially scrubbed once they were found to have been using illegal drugs. Is the difference merely that he was a "delinquent" male artist, whereas some of the others found to have been using illicit substances were idol-style female artists who were supposed to be pure and perfect? I wouldn't be surprised if so, but it's a hell of a double standard.
