“It was terrifying,” she said of the latest storm. “I don’t think I slept the whole night and the rain was … you just can’t imagine. It’s like just living in a waterfall.”
This is a comment shared in facebook from a women and she said: “You have to be brave to live in California,”

A series of atmospheric rivers have left wide swaths of damage across California, claiming the lives of at least 18 people and leaving homes inundated with floodwaters and highways covered in mud and rocks in natural disasters.
The series of storms began their barrage on the Golden State just after Christmas and have brought renewed punches of heavy rain and damaging winds on a near-daily basis.
These images capture the scale of damage and deadly destruction from these powerful storms as they swept across California in natural disasters.
One of the most powerful storms, a bomb cyclone, tapped into tropical moisture near Hawaii to bring several inches of rain across Northern and Central California. San Francisco set its second-wettest day on record on New Year’s Eve in natural disasters.
The storm is termed a “bomb cyclone” because it is marked by a quick drop in atmospheric pressure resulting in a high-intensity storm in natural disasters.
The storm knock down trees, cause widespread flooding, wash out roads, cause hillsides to collapse, slow airports and other loss of human life
Mudslides damaged some homes in pricey Los Angeles hillside areas, while further up the coast a sinkhole damaged 15 homes in the rural Santa Barbara County community of Orcutt.
Meanwhile, California wasn’t the only place facing severe weather. A tornado touched down near Montgomery, Alabama, early Wednesday. There were no deaths but the twister damaged more than 50 homes in natural disasters.
So sad for California!
