“At least 3,452 people have died and rescuers are racing to pull survivors from beneath the rubble after a devastating earthquake ripped through Turkey and Syria, leaving destruction and debris on each side of the border.
One of the strongest earthquakes to hit the region in a century shook residents from their beds at around 4 a.m. on Monday, sending tremors as far away as Lebanon and Israel.
In Turkey, at least 2,316 people have died and several thousand are injured and at least 5606 buildings have collapsed, according to Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD).”

Natural disasters are more frequent and severe what is the UN DOING to improve response to these events. The system needs to change. Why are not more people enlisted for emergency relief? Why are the governments in each country not organized with the UN? Why is so much money put on war weapons and not put aside for global warming and humanitary reasons? This is not okay,
So many could have been saved but they died because of delayed response and help. It's absolutely heart breaking. It's going to be another country and another one next we need to make changes now!!! We need to act now!

4:11 It sucks that in just two days, that number they are stunned by from 1999 is already surpassed by this earthquake's death toll. RIP to all those lost. Praying they can still find more survivors under the rubble.
Why you politicize everything? Syria civilians are not as human as Turkish people? This is pathetic. And by the way there was another strong and deadly earthquake few days ago in Iran; not even mention of that in the news because they are not bowing down to US and want to be left alone?
