Spread The Viralist

Taken from the the Stones last tour of the 60’s and just prior to Altamont. This performance when released in the movie included footage of a DJ voiceover as well as behind the scenes at Altamont. In this version there is edited in different footage with partial overdub audio to make a complete performance. Hope you enjoy it.

  1. The greek letter Omega on Mick's shirt has a special meaning in 1969. The Omega symbol represents electrical resistance in a circuit. The "Resistance" refers to resisting the Vietnam war draft. Trump had bone spurs, Rush Limbaugh had a pimple on his ass, Dubya jumped ahead over hundreds of applicants to get a slot in the Texas Air National Guard… But I digress?

  2. This is a prime example of why, although I’ve seen the Stones 6 times, all but one (75) in the 80’s onward, I prefer this version as opposed to the polished, massive soundstaged, over produced version that they continue to sell to. I want some grit…muddiness, garage band, foot stomping rawness. I know they are old and we cannot expect the same…I guess I wish in my heart of hearts they had quit while we still had that grit. But then I’m not in their shoes. The $$$, lifestyle and adoration are hard for them to only reflect upon

  3. At this time, and I well remember it, the Stones were the absolutely biggest band in the world and they knew it, and so did every living soul in Madison Square Garden and the rest of the world. This video is proof!

  4. Lost interest in the Stones when Taylor left. They have been just an average band since. Nothing great at all about them. Only reason anyone goes to see them is to see Lisa Fischer.

  5. Понятия не имею,как люди на основе альбома "Getting Yaya's out" пытаются доказать,что концерты стоунз конца 60-х были ужасны. По-моему, это шедевр.

  6. I'm a 60's baby and my thoughts on The Stones are, that their music at the time must have reverberated right through to my mothers womb, and saturated me with its DNA. My hips are fucked, my knees have disintegrated, but when I play some Rolling Stones, the ache disappears. ❤🔥🎸
