Alaska is the largest state in the United States, but has one of the smallest agricultural industries. In the past, Alaska Natives and many small communities depended on hunting, fishing, and gathering for their livelihood. However, the local food supply does not meet the demand. As a result, many Alaskans have recently been engaged in farming, which helps to meet the demand for locally sourced food supplies.
Alaskan farmers produce meat, vegetables, grains, and fiber. Alaskans already produce a wide variety of crops and livestock, and crop diversity is expected to increase in warmer and wetter climates.

2019 was a great growth season for Alaska. We had the hottest summer on record.
