  1. I'm not quite crazy enough to shop on Black Friday. The internet probably solved some of that. I don't have THAT much….Christmas Spirit? To FIGHT over Christmas presents???? I hate crowds MORE than I like Christmas. Rather have people bring me the stuff I want. This stuff gives me the creeps. I don't want any ITEM in the WORLD enough for that!

  2. Fortunately all of this seems to be over thanks to online shopping and good riddance. I couldn't believe the waffle iron battle. Waffles are hard to make and leave a messy cleanup. I bet none of those people made waffles more than twice.

  3. I donā€™t go shopping on Fridays especially on Black Fridays because Iā€™m working all day

And thank goodness for that black Fridays are a sign of shopping madness

  4. Black Friday always brought out the worst in people. Iā€™m so glad stores are no longer participating in this crap like they used to. Everything is online now.

  5. I think there's something to be said for scarcity mentalities. Unless your whole family can eat nothing but waffles, there's no reason why you'd need 6 waffle irons in one purchase. I think people see another person frantically grabbing certain products and then they either get scared that there won't be any left for them or they start thinking that the product must have some hidden value to it if the other person wants it so much. Once the observing person joins in on the scavenging, it only adds to the chaos by scaring similar customers into thinking that if they don't join in, they'll miss out on a great deal.

  6. My wife and I went to a Black Friday Sale at Walmart several years ago. We went to see if my wife could buy an iPad for a fair price. None were available and we found out they might have had 2 and the store's employees bought them before we even got in the store. Don't know if that was true, but with all the fuss over even shopping carts we haven't been back to another one.
