  1. I often forget that Lake Erie extends and reaches other states as well and doesn't exclusively belong to Ohio! Lol I'm from Northwest Ohio and live a little less than an hour away from the lake (Put in Bay island & Kelly's Island) and about a little over an hour to Cedar Point which located as a peninsula on Lake Erie. So it was strange at first to see the location of this video was New York! Lol

  2. LKE SUPERIOR HAS BIGGER SMOTHER WAVES LIKE THE OCEAN. BUT ERIE HAS THESE KIND MOST OF THE TIME..SHORT CHOPPY BASHERS THAT KICK THE SHIT OUT OF BOATS LESS THEN 50 FT. A1ND IT HAS TWO OF THE FASTEST RIVERS …ONE ON EACH END THAT FLOW      SO FAST THAT YOU CANT GET A NORMAL BOAT UP THEM [CHECK OUT NIAGRA FALLS.

  3. as a saliler with my own sail boat in the marina in downtown buffalo new york i know what a bitch it is and can be suddenly on lake ERIE. whick has the biggest hardest waves of all the great lakes. but people dont believe me. so all you fools that diss believe, look at this. p.s. reason that the waves are suddenly and so rough is that it is the shallow est lake. so the wind catches it deeper. i have seen it throw a slab of ice 50 feet into the air at barcelona and it went over 30 feet up n the air and landed 200 feet on land.

  4. I'm from Buffalo and I can tell you that Lake Erie can go from Flat as Glass to a freakish monster in a mater of minutes. I visited Hamburg NY last night and the waves were still hammering over rt. 5 causing NYS DOT to close it.
