  1. ALIGATORS,, SNAKES AND ALL ARE GOING TO OCCUPY THESE MANSIONS WATCH OUT TOO MANY MAFIOSOS IN THAT PLACE MOSTLY ITALIANS USING THE WATER TO HIDE THEIR DIRTS

  2. Totally sad. These folks knew, in advance that a CAT 4 was coming
They were warned repeatedly, but they knew better. They stayed. Who stays on and island during a Cat 4? At any rate, this is the deal: Cost of listening to warnings and leaving safely: 1 tank of gas, causalities 0. Cost to ignore warnings and stay: Billions to fish your out with rescue, billions to feed and water you in place, billions in totally avoidable injuries. Causalities: thousands. Well that's the deal. Good work Floridians.

  3. These guys/gals are true heroes! Forget your ball players, movie stars and politicians…this is heroism. And 'nads of steel, too!

  4. Does the fact that Sanibel is (was) merely an over-developed strip of sand susceptible to natural disaster not register with clear-thinking Humans? Especially considering the changing climate patterns of today's world?
Avoid drooling, greedy real estate brokers — education and intellect should prevail. Stop building on sand in the ocean!
Same goes for seaside communities on a shrinking coastline, earthquake fault lines, and hillside dwellings. HELLOOOO??

  5. Great job USCG! But did I hear the grandson say she "wasnt leaving one way or another" (refusing to leave her water-locked island residence, knowing this catastrophic system was coming).

  6. Your tax dollars at work. Money wasted and Coast Guard personnel put at risk to evacuate people from their BEZILLION dollar homes because they refused to leave when they KNEW DAYS BEFORE a devastating hurricane was on the way. Disgusting and infuriating.

  7. Secure Climate funds from fraudsters like DeSantis.

DeSantis defrauded Covid funds to pay for migrant flights.

What would you do next time now that next time is now?

Use natural environment and construct flood swales..

  8. I read some comments before watching and wondered why so many posted about getting choked up and crying. I get it now. Clearly the people (and dog) being rescued are well off financially. But it matters not…the US Coast Guard puts the same value on life no matter who they are. Very nicely done USCG. I have to imagine if I'm stranded anywhere, be it in the middle of the ocean in a life raft or in a $5 million house, the sound of that helicopter is like heaven.

  9. I've watched this so many times and it fills me with such pride. My heart is out there for all the people on Sanibel Island and all the other areas that were effected.

That said. Can someone tell me what the boy/guy/kid/teen did to catch the CG attention?

  10. Jesus bled to death on the cross and resolved your sins and curses. He resurrected from his grave and destroyed Satan's power. If you believe in Jesus, you will be freed from the law of sin and death forever and become a child of God. Believe in Jesus and welcome him.
    He's the Creator God.♡♡♡
