Full video of chasing dust and haboobs yesterday across southwestern Arizona! Starts with popping through a dust storm south of Chuichi, AZ…then some outflow dust near Arizona City, then hopping on Interstate 8 and blasting through rain and dust to get in front of the wall of dust.

After that…it was a 150 mile bonanza staying in front of an ever-evolving haboob…from Vekol Road to getting blasted in Yuma by 60mph sand and dirt.

  1. I was in a plane, in the dust storm while it was in phoenix and we tried to land 5 times, but we ended up in Albuquerque because it was so bad to land.

  2. MY gosh these are terrible. The only thing I can relate a haboob to would be driving in white-out snow or driving in heavy, thick fog, I live in the midwest and we get our fair share of both. How often do you get these storms?

  3. You can quickly conjure up a dust storm like this any time you want. Wash your truck. Then wait for it. If you also cleaned your
swimming pool, well then, it's as good as guaranteed.

  4. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you [are,] And to dust you shall return." Genesis 3:19

  5. And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. Genesis 2:7

  6. Epic haboob and great shots to show the size/scale. I shared to show fam who don't live here and just dont get the severity/damage/hell!they put us through!

  7. Hey guys!!!
My son was one of the young boys that came to MonCon on Saturday.
Flying out Sunday night was an adventure to say the least 😂

    Hi Reed! Hi Trey!
Safety & Fun to you all

  8. Hey Mike, have you gone chasing tornadoes with Reed Timmer yet? He's been caught in some CRAZY death defying situations and you've captured some CRAZY death defying storms from safer distances and I just wondered if you ever had the urge to get footage from inside a tornado? I think Reed got caught up in one but I don't think it was on purpose lol… Incredible footage but he's lucky… Love your work Mike stay safe

  9. So the dust can precede a fast-moving rainstorm? If so, the rain then quickly cleans up whatever mess the dust caused.
