  1. One story I was reading talked about how this family seen a weird walking bear type thing running with a kid under it's arm ..sort of implying some kind of big foot type thing. .this led me to do more research and what these witnesses said was a person with more hair than normal had a kid and got into a white car .. he seems to change certain details for dramatic effect

  2. I am so glad that you are highlighting David Pailides. He's an incredibly diligent man . I have been following him for several years. He also has 2 movies out with a 4rd one in november.i suggest you watch 421 the missing and 412 the hunted. Really good. Eye opening. I don't live to far away from him. I'm in north Idaho and he is up by Kalispell. Keep up the good work

  3. Missing people stories always hit home, definitely some of the spookier stuff that could happen to anyone.
Just a side note – McLeod is a common Scottish name and is pronounced "Mc Cloud" rather than "Mac Leod".

  4. David deserves so much more recognition for his work so well done for getting his name out there as he does so much for so many families missing loved ones and dedicates his life to finding out what's happening in the national parks. X

  5. LOVE LOVE LOVE your voice so much! Your stories are the only thing I listen to when I'm driving. And thanks for not putting the chirping bird sounds at the end of this video… idk why but that noise bothers me LOL. Probably because I know its the end of the podcast 🤣

  6. Great channel, but the fact that he keeps saying "true stories" is beyond fkn irritating. I don't think he understands the definition of "true story".
100% made up or 100% anecdotal does NOT mean "true".
stories are interesting enough without the need for such ridiculous clickbait, stop it.

  7. In Finnish mythology, we have a concept called metsänpeitto, "forest's cover". It's essentially a parallel dimension a person may accidentally walk into or some kind of a spirit (everything in Finnish mythology has a spirit/soul, haltija) might take them there. If one is in metsänpeitto, they cannot be seen or heard from our world, though they might be able to see into ours. To an onlooker, the person in metsänpeitto may appear as a stone or a tree, for example. You could walk right past somebody in metsänpeitto and not be able to see or hear them.

To escape metsänpeitto, you should wear your clothing upside down, bending down to look between your legs for an exit, and try to do everything backwards. It is also possible to just stumble out of metsänpeitto similarly by accident. Some people never get out. A skillful tietäjä (shaman, lit. "knower") may also be able to bring back a person or an animal from metsänpeitto with spells. I reckon it might also help to appeal to the forest spirits or the gods of the woods.

It is said that metsänpeitto is quiet compared to the real world and that the person trapped in will feel uneasy. In some cases they may be unable to move. Even a familiar place will seem foreign and confusing, even be backwards or upside down.

Maybe some of these missing people ended up in metsänpeitto.

  8. I was hoping you’d do something on this! It was the missing 411 stories that got me hooked on all the other creepy strange and weird stories you and your fellow narrators put out both true and imagined 😊

  9. Please please please Folks, yes order his books as they are the absolute FACTS About each case. HOWEVER if you are not a regular follower of Mr Paulides you may NOT know this . He CONSTANTLY tells the villagers ( that is what he calls us , the folks that follow his work ) do NOT order ANY of his books from any other outlet . ONLY order from his website as many many folks have been RIPPED OFF related to the price they paid from other websites selling his books. Mr Paulides who has suffered probably the most awful loss imaginable recently (he lost his beloved son Ben to suicide ) is a GENUINE , kind , and HONEST man . I would be remiss if I didn’t help spread his information related to buying his books. Great as usual LR yet ANOTHER fantastic upload.
