Remembering 9/11: A Look Back at How America Came Together on September 11, 2001
Spread The Viralist

Twenty-one years ago today, the world stood still as we witnessed the horrific events of September 11, 2001. Nearly 3,000 people died, but, as the ashes settled, the people of America rose up, forsaking political and ideological allegiances, choosing to love their neighbors as themselves. Let us today be reminded of the bond we forged together then and, rather than choosing bitterness and division, may we choose love and peace as we honor the lives of those we lost. That is our prayer on this 20th anniversary of 9/11.

“The cross tells us that God understands our sin and our suffering and, from the cross, God declares, ‘I love you.’ The story does not end with the cross. For Easter points us beyond the tragedy of the cross to the empty tomb. It tells us there is hope for eternal life, for Christ has conquered evil, and death, and hell. My prayer today is that we will feel the loving arms of God wrapped around us as we know in our hearts that He will never forsake us as we trust in Him. And this is going to be a day we remember as a day of victory.” — Rev. Billy Graham, Sept. 14, 2001

May God bless you, and may God bless America us.

  1. I remember this day, I was grade 4 when our teacher told us something terrible happened to the first tower. She turned on the tv and we watched the chaos that morning. Then second tower crashed…. The whole class was in shock and silence. My condolences to everyone who lost someone because of 911. You can never truly heal and recover from this trauma and grief…. My heart goes out to them.

  2. We know how it feels this in argentina we got the envasy of Israel in the 90s, now our presidents and vice president forgive the terrorist that did that and say that nothing happen

  3. I was a year old when this happened. My parents were both at work, and my mom said she was terrified when they all had to evacuate and go home (they work downtown). My mom said that there were MULTIPLE authorities constantly guarding the Sears (now called Willis) Tower, and the Hancock tower, over the fear it was going to be attacked next. When she got home, she held me so tight, and cried. Because those were people with families, friends, and loved ones who never came home or got say their final goodbye.

  4. I feel they should have rebuilt the trade centers not just 1 because no matter what those buildings will always be history. My mom jumped from floor 110 in that tower when it was hit so rest in peace everyone who passed that day except for the terrorist no matter how cruel that sounds to me i love what i just said.
