  1. I just donated to Pit Crew Rescue in Sacramento to thank them for what they did for your baby. When you started using the past tense when speaking about him, I knew I was going to shed a tear at the end….sure enough. RIP Hero. You were a very good boy.

  2. Except for those trained to attack or severely abused, every pittie I’ve ever met wanted to be cuddled like a lapdog. I had a pitbull that escaped an illegal dog fighting operation on a farm down the road. My parents agreed to let me keep him when they thought he was full grown @ 40 lbs. The vet laughed & said he was still a puppy. George grew to 93 lbs of pure muscle. My mother had wooden railroad ties around her flower beds. George would drag one around like a toy. The only time he hurt anyone was when he would jump into their lap.

  3. Videos like these with sad endings really need a warning. So how many months did he live with them? If I'm going to watch a video of a deceased dog, I would like to know that at the beginning.

  4. Sad end to a wonderful story. But respect to this couple for fostering the dogs. All dogs ever want is security and love. They give so much back in return..

  5. We all sign up for that when we have pets but it's sooner with a senior. I've been thinking of adopting seniors. I'm senior and I do not want a dog that will outlive me, so many end up in the shelter because their owners have died. Older dogs are so often forgotten.

  6. I didn't know pitbulls were so gentle. I want to adopt a senior pitbull but might probably decide to adopt small breeds as I don't know if I could handle them.

  7. So sorry for his passing. You gave him an amazing life that he deserved. My 11 month Blue Pit, Tucker, that boy, I'd be lost on earth without him. No way to measure the love I have for him and his sister Beulah (Female Blue).

  8. Hero was just lovely and he had a wonderful time with you both before he passed away. You have my heartfelt sympathy. God bless you both for the work you do for dogs in need. It's the thought of losing them so soon that puts people off adopting senior dogs but look how happy Hero was while he was with you. Love and blessings from Scotland x

  9. Hero at least got to be with a Family that adored him and commemorate his life and the wonderful soul of pure Love these bundles of joy bring into our lives as they pass thru so quickly

  10. The sweetness and love our little animals give us is so genuine and pure that it is irreplaceable. Thanks be to God for this great gift!

  11. I love you guys. You are heroes to me .Thank you for rescuing these dogs by giving them a home and your love. So sad of the passing of your dog but find confort knowing you have made him very very happy and LOVED.
