These areas clearly have too much pavement and not enough drainage. 1.5” in an hour is nothing. My area had 3.5” in an hour a few weeks ago and a week prior got over 7” in a 5 hour period. We had 15” in a week and a half period. Our flooding still wasn’t as bad as this video.

Collectively compromises as the United Kingdom but London is the central seat of politics even though Wales has a First Minister and their own parliament , and same with Scotland but have MPS having a seat in British Parliament in London , England . The Queen is the Queen of England , but she also has in her realm Wales and Scotland also Northern Ireland also British but with their own First Minister also and Parliament called Stormont .

The Thames barrier is only to protect London from the river Thames flooding , This flood was because the rain was so heavy the drains which are never cleaned couldn’t cope with the incredible downpour , It was the same as Paris flooding a few days ago
