White County authorities have taken 20 dogs, several chickens, donkey and goat from a Sparta rescue called Sanctuary on Golden Mountain.
ARC and the Sheriff’s department removed the animals this morning after the owner called them for help.
The critters are not in good health.
All animals are being transported to the state fairgrounds in Nashville for treatment.
