  1. This isn't an award speech, but I did want to give a shout-out to everyone who helped make this episode possible. Jake Meaux (Producer, Cinematographer, Editor, everything) did an incredible job. All of the disaster crew: Sofia, Clark, and John thank you for all of your hard work. Dria, our social manager who goes above and beyond: you are a saint. Thank you to Todd Terrell at United Cajun Navy for all they are doing to help disaster victims. I'm also glad we got to finally tell Roger's story! And, to Brock Long at Hagerty Consulting for making this episode possible and for being a constant champion for those going through the worst moments of their life. He's worked over 200+ disasters and is one of my heroes. This one also required some time away from the family, so I wanted to thank my wife and kiddos for supporting this. Oh, and of course Hank. It's an honor to be working on this with you brother!

  2. To see this video, and watch our rescues disseminated in such a classy way, makes me very proud. Roger, you spoke such eloquently on what it is we do and I’m proud of you. Whomever produced this video, I’d like to offer full access to our body/helmet cams in the future now that I know the class in how rescue is presented. Kudos!

  3. This is AMAZING. It was an Honor to serve the people of Lake Charles. The warm welcome that I received from day 1, being a "Yankee" and all was strange but felt cool. After a week of volunteering, it was a no brainer to stay and continue to do whatever I could. Having Dina, My other half by my side the whole way has helped me make this transition from Yankee to Coonankee. Yes that's right. "Coonankee". That's my word. Thank you Justin and Hank for ALL you have and still do. Yous Guys Rock.

  4. We love being there for our fellow man. Being there during hurricanes is something is that's a calling. We will continue to stand with those willing to show up and do what needs to be done.

We gladly show up a day or two before the storm hits to stand with the United Cajun Navy and Todd.
