Spread The Viralist

Was this a ghost? It certainly freaked me out. 2 AM, Gettysburg Battlefield, I spot what appears to be a Confederate Soldier standing at a cannon. I spun the car back around but no one was to be seen.

As we explore the battlefield, do you see or hear anything odd? comment if you do!

A civil war ghost? Or just a replay of past memories.

you tell me.

This is footage from two separate trips to civil war battlefields in Maryland and Pennsylvania, We explore the sites and sounds of these historic areas.

  1. If you saw the Documentary by PBS called "Death & the Civil War" one probably wouldn't feel like doing any more of those "reenactments" … which are not even CLOSE to how it was – the most horrifying Documentary I've ever seen yet truly give you an understanding just how horrible and brutal the Civil War was – full of Brady Photographs that will stand your hair on end.

  2. I live next to a battlefield, Fort Oglethorpe GA. There were more deaths here than in Gettysburg. I personally have seen many, odd things that couldn't be explained. I will give you one example. I was at the top of the tower and looking at the tree line about 100 yards away. I seen two men on horseback. One was dressed in military leaning towards the Civil War. The other dressed in buck skins. I asked the people next to me if they could see them and they said yes. Hmmmm, after telling the Park Ranger about it that they were several miles off the reanactment sight he said nobody should be on a horse at that place and time. That's just one, I have many more stories about this place

  3. Well I saw on the spooky portion of your video was what looked like a statue near a cannon. As she pointed out it didn’t move it was rigid it reflected light.

  4. I never really believe ghost stuff but I highly believe this is one. You can very much see a kepi and the uniform. Without a doubt it's a soldier

  5. If that's a ghost, you are lucky he didn't look at you, he might not have eyes. Most ghosts pictures, and video's that I have seen most ghost have no eyes or have hallowed eye sockets.

  6. There was something – or someone – there. We could see it, too.

Theory: time is a balled up line; continuous, but a line balled up like yarn. Outside of malevolent incidences with evil spirits, I notice that hauntings seem to involve persons and a time related to places: the guardian of a lighthouse or his spouse; soldiers and battlefields; patients and asylums, for example.

Perhaps what's happening is we're seeing images past, present, and future when the chord of time is bent back around and touching at places. Perhaps others – past, present, and future – are "haunted," too because they faintly hear and see us.

This may explain the First Nations peoples' legends of The Thunderbird. Perhaps it was jets from the future they were seeing.

Musing a bit, but it may be way more scientific than spiritual. And I certainly believe there's a spiritual realm.

  7. The Confederate Soldier next to the cannon: Bro what the hell is that metal tub wit' wheels on it? And what the hell is that man wearing while pointin' that rectangle at me?

  8. I saw nothing. I wonder of the civl war soldiers saw ghosts in the following days and weeks or do ghosts wait 100 years to appear?

  9. We were just there the 1st of Augsut and there was a paranormal investigator setting up his gear on two canons. If that was near the the peach orchard and the Pennsylvania big monument….we had a weird experience with orbs in our picture near that spot. I capture some on film during the day that showed up later after reviewing the footage. One was on little round top the other was in the Wheatfield. Shortly after that we stopped near the spot I mentioned first and had orbs in my photos. Took extra pictures in same spot to make sure it was not a glare and it was gone. No bugs that day at all not even hiking up paths at little round top with all the over grown vegetation which was weird. Anyways the battlefields are wire and solemn place. Thanks for sharing.

  10. I briefly lived in Appomattox Va in high school and it feels so different from where iam from in VA beach it's hard to explain but any piece of land anywhere puts off vibes if you let yourself relax and feel them

  11. Iam the same way with history I think about the sounds the smells how people talked and what was on their mind at the times I feel like I've lived a few lives at least . Sweet videos keep them coming

  12. I live literally 15 mins from Antietam battlefield 1 hour from Gettysburg and about 45 mins from harpers ferry. Harpers ferry is haunted, go at night time and you’ll almost for sure see stuff.

  13. You got an full body aperishen manafatashen on camra and ofther ghost evestagaters get pashel or very small ghost manafastashen on camra

  14. uhm when in the world Would that be a confederate soldier because they wouldn't have artillery in most cases because the area looks like they were defending so its a federal soldier most likely but with weird coloring probably some regiment

  15. I've been a reenactor for 20+ years and have seen enough to write a book. But honestly, my friends and I would have messed with people that were driving around the battlefield after closing hours too.
