On July 13th in Essex, Juliette Bird, 53, and her housemate Deanna Crawte, 28, received a notification from their security camera.

As they watched the footage, they saw their neighbour’s cat, Topsy, crossing the frame, only to be followed by what appeared to be a spectral cat.

When they showed the neighbour the footage, they were informed that Topsy’s owner had a cat named Liquorice who had passed recently.

The neighbour also told Juliette and Deanna that Topsy’s sister Tilly had disappeared about 6 weeks ago.

  1. It's simply a ghosting effect from the Cam caused by Rain… Cheaper cameras tend to have those Image Processing issues during weather. Some mentioned seeing an orb. It's a raindrop iluminated by the cam's IR.

  2. I think the cat behind the white one is real I think there's compression artifact's making it look transparent
The cat is gray so is the road almost the same colour as the cat
You can see the cat enter the frame at 0:14 it's just the same colour as the road surface
I think the camera has really bad compression or something to do with image processing

  3. Honestly kinda breaks my heart, I love cats and knowing that a deceased cat is still around playing with his friends, even though it’s friends can’t really see him/her any longer. Kinda eerie, but mostly sad for me..

  4. The steps and gate of the steps do not match….soooooo it's not a delayed ghosting from the camera. HMM! glitch in the matrix not the camera.

  5. You can even see the blur areas and previous feet that makes it look like the ghost cat has 6 legs in some frames.
They don't follow the same foot steps but they have the same foot movements. Crop the cat frame by frame and the ghost cat's silhouette then you will see they have the same size and movements. Just change the offset of another cat in the video and you got them stepping on different spots like they are different.
The blurry trails… I dunno why they have to do that, it just made it messy. 😐

  6. Ah this can be easily explained it is in fact not a ghost but a simple camera malfunction or feedback possibly reflection inside the lens if you look closely the ghost and question follows the footsteps and movements of the cat almost exactly the same same shape same size coincidence maybe but not I can get into so much detail about the evidence of ghosts but for now I'm just going to talk about the camera the cameras optic which typically has a lens can't be reflective if this lens is reflective enough light can bounce off the cameras optic back at the lens and be received this can happen multiple times to the point where it looks delayed and faded basically it's the same video just older let's say you had a car running in the background you'd also have a ghost car riding behind it that's because there's an identical copy just faded and overlapping the original copy that's why you see a ghost cat it's not a ghost cat it's the same cat just being relayed over and over on the same video this can happen in many different ways but the most probable one is by reflection

  7. Well. It is just another cat. Camera does not capture dark fur cat very well. I ve monitored my outdoor cam for years since I feed stray cats so I know this is just another cat not ghost.

  8. Nice footage. Theres a ghost of a dogs face looking up through my cat. Laying in the driveway. You tube. Ghost of a dogs face looking through my cat

  9. For those thinking it's an after-image or a frame rate problem, which is what I initially thought, explain the very end where the white cat continues walking but the gray/ghost cat stops in front of the car.

  10. The gosht cat walks a different foot print to the white cat!
    Very interesting if real.
I’m a great believer in this sort of thing but I still have to look at all possibilities!

  11. A few things happen which is actually kinda interesting. first, a trail of tiny white orbs follow behind the white cat then stop like they just freeze abruptly. a tiny slight shadow moves from right to left where the closest frozen white orb is, and 3 more slight shadows follow the first one. when the 4th tiny shadow appears an orb from way up zips down and flashes heralding right where the ghost cats head first appears. once the ghost cat appears most of the way, the trail of orbs disappear. the ghost kitty is just looking out for the live one. it's not a sad thing at all. it's a really awesome thing. I don't know if the light at the left of the screen dimming in and out is related to it all or not as well as the flashes of light at the right at 0:06 and the beam that shoots down at 0:10. Could be.
