Baby Gazelle Eaten By Brutal Hyena – Hyenas Hunting Eating Animal Alive – Animals [cute canon]:

When hyenas hunt an animal that is bigger than themselves, they may hunt in packs and take down the prey by biting and dragging it to the ground. If they are after smaller prey, they will hunt alone in a fox-like matter. … Hyenas adapt their specific hunting strategy to the environment in which they live.
Hyenas eat their prey alive because they want to eat their food before contenders such as lions come and try to steal their food. in this video, you will see hyenas eating baby gazelle alive, eating wildebeest alive, and other animals.
The word “hyena” is an umbrella term that actually describes three distinct and separate mammalian species, all of which are part of the family Hyaenidae. The three species are the spotted hyena (Crocuta crocuta), the striped hyena (Hyaena hyaena), and the brown hyena (Hyaena brunnea). Although not classified as hyenas, the family also has a fourth relative — the aardwolf (Proteles cristata).
The hyena (spelled “hyaena” in some parts of the world) is Africa’s most common large carnivore. There are three hyena species — spotted, brown, and striped. Spotted hyenas are the largest of the three. They are fairly large in build and have relatively short torsos with lower hindquarters, and sloping backs. They have excellent night-time vision and hearing.
hyenas aren’t picky eaters in any sense of the word. These omnivores are notorious scavengers that frequently feast on the carrion of previously killed animals, but that isn’t the full extent of their diet. Spotted hyenas are adept hunters in their own right, preying on reptiles, birds, and even wee bugs. They prefer going after mammals that exceed 40 pounds in weight, according to the Zoological Society of Milwaukee. Some of the larger animals that spotted hyenas prey on include wildebeests, zebras, and antelope. They generally hunt in units of between two and five individuals, although sometimes more — especially when it comes to big prey.
hyenas, like spotted hyenas, are frequent scavengers, with particular penchants for impalas, gazelles, wildebeests, and zebras. They too have the ability to hunt, and often go after goats, sheep, horses, and donkeys. Other common components of the striped hyena diet are bugs, fruit, birds, reptiles, mice, and hares.
These carnivores are one of Africa’s top predators; however, there is a common misconception that they are primarily scavengers. On the contrary, about 70 percent of their diet is composed of direct kills. They consume animals of various types and sizes, carrion, bones, vegetable matter, and other animal droppings. Their jaws are among the strongest in relation to the size of any other mammal. Their jaws and digestive tract allow them to process and obtain nutrients from skin and bones. The only parts of prey not fully digested are hair, horns, and hooves — these are regurgitated in the form of pellets. The high mineral content of the bones makes their droppings a highly visible, chalky white. According to campers, these animals have even been known to consume aluminum pots and pans.
