  1. The best way to deal with these disasters is to move away from major faults, coastlines, volcanoes, and flood plains, and not build more cities in these places.

  2. When humans can use geo-synchronous satellites, like Star-link system, and install innovative technologies to observe and monitor atmospheric fluctuations, tsunamis and crustal movements from above, respectively, it will certainly improve and enrich the periodic changes of all relevant databases. As such, it enhances preparedness and alerts for natural catastrophes and therefore reduces the casualties involves.

  3. Fair enough some people have no choice but to live exposed to these threats. Whats crazy is most people do have a choice. Whats more bizarre is what choices they make when they do decide to live there. I'll take one example Japan probably one of the most geologically unstable places on the planet. They get Volcanoes, Earthquakes and Tsunamis. I know they have bugger all natural resources, but of all people who know the effect of nuclear power better than most did they decide to go with nuclear power. At least they got the location of one right, earthquake starts fires, then the resulting tsunamis extinguished them Bravo. Oh they get the cousin or Hurricanes to our friend Mr typhoon. And I thought they where a clever people but no their human like the rest of us.

  4. This all repeats slapped together & way out of date, didn't even have Hawaii 2018 eruption, all old outdated. Com'on @Spark you can do better than this

  5. Why these people are crying about their home being destroyed.hello, you love next to an active volcanoe. What did you think would happen. And they're going, why god why. Um,because you moved next to a friggin volcanoe

  6. I am saddened (and Honored) that in my home state of Washington State on May 18, 1980 Mount St. Helens is used on SO MANY Documentaries and Utube Series as a "Catastrophe"…
As I was only 5 at the time, and luckily wasn't really effected, I still remember the "Grey Snow" we had in our yard the morning of the 28th.
But, although this was a Disaster and so many Innocent Lives where lost, my eyes and imagination where "glued" to the television, radio and Printed Media (newspaper and National Geographic Magazine Articles).
I still have a sealed "beaker" of expelled Ash to this day that I collected from my Lawn with help from my Father…
Such a sad, but wonderful day for the curious minded!
    Sincerely,
    -T🖖
