  1. I watched this original video on Carson’s channel it was amazing how he saved this fish’s life. Well done 👍👏

  2. I am a little orange fish that’s depressed and turned gray. And then an angel came and resumed me and now I live in heaven with my orange buddy!

  3. I love this story. Wonderful! I “rescued” a beta fish who was cramped in those little containers and could barely move. He was totally listless. I set him up in a larger fish bowl and eventually an even bigger one with plants and hiding places. That little beta, who I named Sam, had a personality! He loved swimming up to the top, resting on a plant frond, then diving down to the bottom. Friends who took care of him when I had to go out of town on business said he was a “happy” fish. Sam lived for about 3 years. Wish I could have given all the betas a better life.

  4. Ay I'm subbed to this guy but sadly Moby died since 2 of the cichlids mated and Moby got too close to the babies and well the pair got aggressive and had killes Moby so ya RIP moby 😭

  5. Every living thing shows improved health from love. This guy def has a gift that he has tapped into at a young age. Kindness is NOT underrated. Imagine a world where no animal is killed by neglect or abuse. Imagine a world where animals are not injected with steroids and massed bred for food. Humans can thrive as vegetarians. I believe that would be a much better world.

  6. I'm so glad he's healthy and happy. As someone who keeps lots of different fish ( catfish in particular) it's clear that they are intelligent, inquisitive and personable animals. My favourite fish is my gold synodontis custard who looks so derpy lol

  7. And this is why I don't shop at these big chain stores. I sometimes go to my local one to get supplies and see fish with fungus, Ich, deformities and other things. Thankfully 2 other fish stores near me take excellent care of their fish. One has aquascaped tanks and lots of decor in all of their aquariums

  8. My hubby used to do this exact same thing. He would buy sick fish and take them home them. He obviously lost a few, but he saved more than he lost.

  9. At first I was a little worried that tub was intended to be a permanent tank, I'm glad that little Blood Parrot ended up in a much bigger and nicer tank.

Cute as this is though, I feel a bit iffy towards Blood Parrot Cichlids in general. They're not a naturally occurring species, they're a manmade hybrid between other cichlid species. I'm not against the idea of hybrid fish (there are several other hybrid fish species available, such as domestic Platies that are hybrids between various wild platy species), but Blood Parrots in particular have jaw deformities (which cause the 'smiling' appearance) and spinal deformities (causing the short, stumpy body), they are essentially the fish version of pugs. I don't know how much this affects their quality of life, but it does make me feel a little weird about them. The jaw deformities make it more difficult for them to eat, meaning they can be outcompeted for food by other fish. Honestly, fancy goldfish have it worse, have you SEEN some of those things?

  10. I am a little loss for words. I have seen fish that looked like that in pets stores and it was very depressing. This was so amazing
& heartwarming watching the transformation of this fish. Thank you for seeing the value of that little life, nursing it back to health & giving it a happy life! It is just beautiful.
